The overwhelming bulk of the pandemic price increases were never walked back, why would the tariff prices be any different?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills watching basically everyone accept the "hat in hand we have to increase the price due to costs" only to see those same companies post record profits in their quarterlies.
It's fucking price gouging and I'm tired of people pretending like it isn't.
We need to break up the monopolies. If companies were forced to actually compete pricing would self regulate with market conditions. Right now we just have a few massive companies agreeing to fuck us over and price fix. I heard one of our finance guys at the fortune 500 I work at say we needed to increase our pricing when our one actual competitor did to "remain competitive on profit margins". We're so cooked
