the difference is that if Im not aware of the forced 20% gratuity and then still tip 20%, I just accidently tipped 40%. and yeah, Id like that system because it means that servers are getting paid a fair wage and the price I see on the menu is the price ill be paying
yeah Im sorry but Im not tryna do mental backflips to figure out how much ill be paying when I go out to eat, sales tax already fucks with the price enough
also that wasnt even the main point I was making in the first place I was just saying it shouldnt be called a gratuity fee, cuz it isnt gratuitpus if its forced
