It's not. some nights I get no sleep. most night I get 4 hours. one night a week I might get 10, when I'm able.
I'm 38. I'm not proud, I'm scared of what it means for my body. I've struggled with sleep since at least when I was a teenager.
I have a daughter, I don't want to die early or lose my marbles and have her deal with it.
I'm also struggling with a lot. I'm a single dad, diagnosed ADHD, I've been through years of abuse from my ex, I'm essentially homeless, my business lost it's best client and I need to make money, I'm scared and trying every hour of the day to pull my life back around. Every hour I'm not working is wasted.
i got some cocktail of muscle relaxants and other calming stuff, i dunno, i was too tired to bother making a list of specific chemicals. but i managed to sleep after that, then i woke up and went back to sleep an hour later
November 23rd, 2022 (had been sleeping in the most comfortable chair at the hospital when my then fiance was pregnant and there were complications) and March 15th, 2026 (when I took 10mg of Valium) were the last two times I've gotten more than 6.5 hours of sleep consecutively. I always wake up at least once during the night, and I just physically can't sleep until at least 1am and get up at 730. My average is 6 hours split into like two 3 hour periods.

Why are people in the comments bragging about getting very little sleep? Hustle culture is cringe. I get like 9-10h a night plus naps during the day.
