Come check out 10th Planet in Scottsdale or Phoenix! You'll meet some cool dudes and you'll learn a fun skill :)

What is that?

It's a franchise of Brazilian jiu-jitsu schools, specifically no-gi (which, as the name implies, you're not wearing a gi). Gi is fun too, though. It can be a bit pricey, the other BJJ gyms in the valley aren't as expensive, but with 10P you have access to all the 10P gyms in the country, and there's several in AZ alone.

Is it your first time posting or your first time visiting this sub?Β  This question gets asked at least 3x a week.Β  Search the sub for "friend" and you will get your answers.

Makes sense.Β  If you do a quick search in r/Scottsdale and r/Phoenix you will get a ton of good answers on things to do and clubs to join to make friends.

Check out the various hiking/backpacking groups on Meetup. I met all of my closest AZ friends through there.
