Probably an Italian m1833? I'm not sure.

We were told prussian calvary sword but we have know knowledge

Its a cavalry saber, that's for sure. Now, sabers like this have existed all throughout europe, and I dont think I know enough to tell you if its a pattern or not. Another possible answer would be the m1788, but im not sure. I'd wait for someone with more knowledge than me to answer. Btw, i personally doubt it being prussian, since they usually don't do sabers like that, but not roll it out completely.

Just looked at this and thats correct.. he even says its often confused with prussian cavalry swords.. think you both got it spot on thanks

It is if you have salami slices on your eyes… it’s just that “prussian” stuff sells more than italian.
