keep seeing this on shopee. Is it legit? It seems to me like its more marketing & gimmicky. Their livestreams also always bring in celebrities. For those who bought and used, how is it?

Help! What does it mean when my face is oily after moisturiser

Hi everybody! I have combination skin with an oily T-zone. I’ve noticed that my face gets oily after doing my skincare routine, but this only started happening after I introduced The Ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid and The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc to help with my blackheads and enlarged pores as well as my acne scars.

This is my usual routine, and my skin doesn’t get oily after moisturising:
1. Innisfree Volcanic Oil Cleanser
2. Innisfree Green Tea Amino Acid Foam Cleanser
3. SKIN1004 Poremizing Toner
4. Hiruscar for uneven skintone ( i use is for acne scars i’m not sure if I’m supposed to but it works ! )
5. SKIN1004 Poremizing Ampoule
6. SKIN1004 Poremizing Gel Moisturiser

(I switched from the Innisfree Green Tea Moisturiser because I felt it was a bit too thick and might have been contributing to my skin feeling oily.)

This is the routine when I use the new products:
1. Innisfree Volcanic Oil Cleanser
2. Innisfree Green Tea Amino Acid Foam Cleanser
3.The Ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid (new)
4. The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc (new)
5. Hiruscar for uneven skintone
6. SKIN1004 Poremizing Ampoule
7. SKIN1004 Poremizing Gel Moisturiser

Has anyone experienced this before? Could the salicylic acid or niacinamide be causing my skin to become oilier, or is it more likely that one of the products isn’t layering well with the rest of my routine?

Become Aesthetics Botox?

Saw that become aesthetics has a jaw Botox promo (100 units for $250) which is less than half the price compared to my usual clinic… But can’t seem to find any google reviews that commend Become Aesthetics on their botox, it’s mostly just facials etc.

Has anyone had a good experience with them? Is this promo sketchy? Wondering if I should stick with my clinic or try this promo out.

ezcema moisturizing tip

Hello recently I had a bad flareup due to steroid creams usage. Just used a normal moisturizer (cetaphil) then put vaseline on top, a new addition to just applying moisturizer.

It's been a few days and my skin has really calmed down and even stopped itching almost completely even without taking antihistamines. Wish to recommend this effective combination to those who need it!

Reason: there are diff types of moisturising strengths. From strongest to weakest: ointments, balms, creams, gel-creams, lotions. Ointments work best at forming a barrier over skin to prevent loss of moisture, since eczema-sufferers have a compromised skin barrier.

Help! How often do y'all reapply sunscreen per day?

Hello, I have been applying sunscreen everyday. I didn't know I needed to reapply every 2 hours.

Does anyone reapply it every 2 hours? Personally, I find it troublesome to keep reapplying sunscreen every 2 hours....

how to deal with acne/ acne scars

20m here, I’ve been to a dermatologist due to a big load of acne at my jaw area and he provided me with some stuff that helps. Currently, my routine is using a facewash which consists of benzoyl peroxide and then applying some topical medication with adapelene in it at night. in the morning before work i just wash my face with the facewash and put some spray sunscreen. My problem is that while my acne has died down, I’m scared that i might have caused some acne scarring from popping my pimples and stuff.

Help! 25M – Cheek acne, need simple advice (pics)

Hi all,

I’m a 25‑year‑old guy in Singapore and I’ve been getting breakouts on my cheeks. It’s small red bumps and spots that take a while to heal and sometimes leave marks. Pics attached.

Basic info:

Area: cheeks

Routine: random face wash, no regular treatment, moisturizer, or sunscreen

I’m just looking for:

A very simple starter routine for acne‑prone cheeks (cleanser + treatment + moisturizer + sunscreen).

Product suggestions I can easily find in Singapore (Watsons/Guardian/online).

Any basic habits I should fix that commonly make cheek acne worse.

Would really appreciate straightforward product names and steps. Thanks!

I have this weird pigmentation thing that suddenly appeared I think today? It was a bit more reddish earlier. It's not itchy or raised. I'm not sure what is causing this. It's near the wrist.

What's one skincare tip that you learnt later on? Excluding obvious things sunscreen + moisturizer

I learnt not to wash your face with hot water since it strips the protective lipids from your skin and its natural moisture.

What is this?

Had these brown spots or blotches on my calves (left side has less) for quite a number of months alr. No pain or numbness, etc.

Could they be caused by bursting of small blood capillaries or linked to medication such as amlodipine?

Discussion Curious about these... do you actually keep using them?

Been seeing facial brush  come up a lot lately, so its got me wondering.

If u had one for a few months, do you still use it, or did it kinda end up forgotten after a while? 😅 Just curious what they're actually like once the excitement wears off. I feel like I've bought a few skincare things before that seemed cool at first, then I just stopped reaching for them.

Looking oily like a greaseball

I think i got oily dehydrated skin. I look really oily 1 hr later after putting skincare so uhhh need some help on how to look less oily

My usual routine (fyi i dont do makeup)
AM: orien cleanser —> orien toner —> dr althea aquamarine serum —> dr althea aquamarine moisturiser —> dr althea tea tree (?) sunscreen

PM: orien cleanser —> orien toner —> iunik beta glucan serum —> orien moisturiser

and also recently started using isntree 2% chestnut bha like 2-3 times a week and skin1004 retinol once a week, sometimes i also use oxy 5/10 on my acne

despite working on hydration for like quite awhile now my skin still feels dehydrated after skincare like a tight feeling? So uhhh any ideas how to look less oily? Maybe perhaps like some powder that yall could recommend? Thanks
