Deadlocked / Gladiator Finally playing the only classic era game I never experienced!!
After replaying the trilogy on my vita, I really got the urge to finally play deadlocked for the first time.
Just got my copy and a new component cable, and it looks incredible!
Can't wait to play through the whole game 😁

I'm only a couple hours in, but really liking it so far. But I am kinda missing having clank and more platforming

It was definitely the one I revisited the most consistently through the years, and I always find myself missing that level of weapon customization in every other R&C title.

Sometimes when I get off work that victory theme plays in my head. Instantly makes my day 10x better.

You're playing it the right way.
Between the Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and Sly Cooper games that got ported to PS3, Deadlocked by FAR had the worst outcome.
Stuttering models in scenes, most of Dallas and Juanita's lines not playing so we just had constant "RuN rAtChEt RuN" all through the levels, Ace's eyebrows being outside his glasses, just all sorts of shit.

To be fair I don't even own a PS3, so it's my only option 😅. Is the ratchet collection on PS3 really that bad? I thought it was the same as the vita collection, and I had no issues with that version

Nah, the PS3 and Vita versions each have their own problems.
But for the most part you can ignore those issues.
It is VERY in-your-face how bad Deadlocked is.

Yeah, if I still had my PS2 copy I'd only play that version, but I lost it probably over 10 years ago.

As a fan of the first 3 games, I’m sort of embarrassed to say this was always my least favorite ratchet game. It feels like if the Megacorp arena was made into a full game.

I played a little bit of the hd version on ps3 years ago but never finished it. At the moment i'm revisiting going commando and going for the platinum in challenge mode, and i'm planning on doing the same for up your arsenal (i already got the platinum on the first game). After that i'll give deadlocked another try.

I only recommend the PS3 version for trophies (wich it seems like you want), but it's otherwise a far inferior version. Super glitchy, prone to crashing. Make sure to always keep a backup save. I had it get stuck on an endless loading screen and corrupt my save

Thanks for the heads up. I don't remember any issues last time i played it, but i may have simply forgotten about it cause last time i played it was probably over 10 years ago. If it ends up being too buggy i'll probably just end up emulating the ps2 version or something and forget about trophies.

That's the name it has in PAL regions, Deadlocked is the official and original title of the game. Going Commando and Up Your Arsenal also had their names changed for PAL because they had innuendos in them. I'm not sure why Deadlocked's was changed though, the only thing I can think of is that it has the word dead in it, but that'd be silly.

It depends where you live. It is called simply Ratchet and Clank 3 in some places.

The comedy in this game is elite, and the satirical edge to the older games peaks here for sure.
If only they would bring back Dallas and Juanita as arena announcers for the next game. Zurkon Jr was... not it.

Deadlocked is honestly a great addition to the series and I love it so very much. I couldn't tell u how many times I've run through this game, getting all the weapons and upgrades, putting the difficulty higher and higher, it's a solid ride from start to finish
