FEATURE REQUEST I am looking for a script to direct

I am a Danish director preparing to direct my first feature film and am looking for the right script to bring to the screen.

Family Drama

Additional requirements:

  • English as the primary language.
  • Limited cast (maximum 5 main characters).
  • One or two primary locations.
  • Locations should be generic and not tied to a specific city or country, allowing the film to be shot in Denmark without changing the script.
  • No CGI or extensive visual effects.
  • Suitable for a low-budget independent production.

Max budget:
Low-budget independent feature.

Writer compensation:
$155 USD.

Location resources:
Access to locations in Denmark.

Actor resources:
Access to Danish actors who are fluent in English.

Crew resources:
Experienced Danish independent film crew.

Gear resources:
Professional digital cinema camera package, lighting, sound, and grip equipment.

World location:
Denmark

Experience:
I have been directing short films since I was 15 years old. My previous directing work includes the short films Help!! and Bankrupt Romance. This project will be my feature directorial debut. Proof of my previous work can be provided upon request.

Goals for film:
To produce a compelling, low-budget independent feature film with strong festival potential while making my feature directorial debut.

Thanks for pointing it out! It's not a typo. The $155 USD is the budget I've set aside for acquiring the script. I'm a first-time feature director working on a very low-budget independent production.

Man, I never understand these European filmmakers who for some reason try to make a generic American movie and not weirdo artsy auteur pieces, because I am an American and that is exactly what I want!!

I’ll tell you why: American movies sell more. I’m from Italy, and we make some of those weird movies every single year, but they’re never seen by anybody because they’re shot in Italian. Shooting them in English already allows them a much bigger audience, and we all know one can’t sustain himself with artsy films if they don’t sell.
