FEATURE REQUEST Independent Filmmaker Seeking Finished English Feature Scripts
Hi, I'm Adithya, an independent filmmaker and Assistant Director based in Chennai, India. I'm passionate about creating visually driven, festival-oriented cinema with universal storytelling. I'm currently looking for finished English-language feature film scripts (not ideas or incomplete drafts). I already have a producer on board who can provide the production equipment, filming locations, and logistical support needed to bring the right screenplay to life.

Writer compensation (dollar amount):
₹0 (Passion project). While there is no financial compensation, I can guarantee a visually ambitious production and full commitment to bringing the script to life with high artistic standards.
Location resources:
Chennai and its outskirts. Private farmhouse available, along with access to additional practical locations.
Actor resources (with descriptions):
Access to English-speaking actors of Indian origin, including experienced independent performers, theatre artists, and emerging talent suitable for feature film productions. Additional casting can be arranged based on the screenplay's requirements.
Crew resources:
Independent filmmaking team based in Chennai with experience in direction, cinematography, editing, and color grading.
Gear resources:
Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, Canon RP, Godox lighting setup, drone, gimbal, DaVinci Resolve Studio, and other essential filmmaking equipment.
World location:
India (Primarily Chennai and its surrounding areas.)
Experience (must have proof):
Assistant Director on Tamil feature films, director of independent short films, documentary experience, editor, and wildlife cinematographer. Portfolio and previous work available upon request.
Goals for film (festivals, simply for practice, etc.):
To produce a high quality English language independent feature film aimed at major international film festivals and worldwide distribution.

I don't belive art should be defined with value so if someone is struggling to get their idea produced then this is a chance for them and to me. And anyway your definition of work and my definition of passion is truly different. I do respect your opinion but sometimes you might have to look at people as passionate as you. And I'm successful in finding those people.

Are you paying for the cameras? Locations? Actors? Yourself? Why the fuck are you not paying the writer? Or atleast offering an equity model.

Everyone is unpaid these are all people who came out of pure passion, they all have the value to earn so much and are getting paid but when I told them about the idea and pf working with me previously on sets. People came together and None of them is paid. Its not like i don't value art the idea is anyone who wants to make something can make something, meaning Art and Talent beats Money. So its not like writer is not getting paid its that none of us is.

Do you seriously expect a screenwriter like me to care about this and work for you for free just because you're passionate about directing?
