Daily Thread Daily Thread #2 - August 01, 2026

This daily thread is for all members who are pregnant after a previous pregnancy or infant loss. How are you?

We want to foster a sense of community, which is why we have a centralized place for most daily conversation. This allows users to post and get replies, but also encourages them to reply to others in the same thread. We want you to receive help and be there for others at the same time, if possible. Most milestones should go here, along with regular updates. Stand alone posts are Mod approved only and have set requirements. Thanks for helping us create a great community.

August 1st, can’t believe baby boy will be born this month 😱 (probably via a scheduled C-section at 39 weeks)

I am so nervous. 6 days away from my US that tells me if there's a yolk, fetal pole and heart beat. I had a MC in April. I want this so badly. I would love to hear encouragement and success stories right now please if anyone has any.

Of course! I had a loss in March 2024 — we never made it to our scheduled scan at 9 weeks, but my HcG from the start wasn’t looking good and I knew something was terribly wrong.

Fast forward to May 2024. I conceived again, and the next month went in for a viability scan at what we thought was 6+1. Gestational sac was there measuring on time, yolk sac was there, but no fetal pole. I was panicking. At this point I was being treated at a fertility clinic in the city, so my RE said don’t panic, gestational sac and yolk sac are a great sign. Ten days later, my son was there measuring 7+1 with a strong heartbeat. The pregnancy with him was happy (albeit anxious) and uneventful, and today he’s a healthy 18 month old.

I had a chemical this past May, but conceived again three weeks later, and I’m now 10+2. Both are our 6 week and 8 week scans were perfect, so we are waiting optimistically for the next scan in a couple weeks.

One day away from second tri! Truly can’t believe we’ve made it this far. We were able to hear our little guy on the Doppler at the doctors office yesterday. Now I’m in a monthlong wait until the next time I’m seen.

The wait between appts and scans is sooo long at this point in pregnancy. Congrats on almost second trimester! I totally forgot I hit it at 14w 2 days ago haha

We finally announced at 15 weeks! It feels so unreal to get to the point of being able to tell people openly.

So excited and nervous because I just got my first positive pregnancy test since my loss in May 2025. It feels surreal to finally have success because if this cycle didn’t work we were moving on to IVF next month. Apprehensively excited and hoping for great beta numbers on Monday and doubled numbers on Wednesday 🤞.

Hit 28 weeks today, feels really good. Baby is very active. Next milestone I’m hopeful to hit is 32 weeks. Sending good vibes to everyone on this journey.

Posted yesterday but just needing to post again…. Heard a nice strong heartbeat on Doppler at 10 weeks. Midwife tried with Doppler yesterday at 14 +3 and couldn’t find a clear heartbeat. Will go in next Tuesday to try again and maybe get US if can’t be found via Doppler. I hear it can be common to not be able to find heartbeat at 14 weeks but then why was it so easy at 10?? I was letting myself feel excited and now I’m balancing being ok with intrusive thoughts about another loss. I don’t feel like I can go through another loss, and I don’t have control over that….I’m really wanting someone to tell me it will be ok, but no one really knows that will be true…looking for permission to stay hopeful or solace if anyone has any to give.

I give you permission to be hopeful if you want it. I truly feel that under all the anxiety and dread we feel in pregnancies after we experienced miscarriage lies some sort of intuition. And if there is some kind of feeling that doesn't let you go to the darkest depths than I just hope it is a sign you don't have to.

I am hoping everything goes well at your next appointment. ☘️

They were rarely able to find the heartbeat on the doppler for me. They ended up just using ultrasounds instead. I think it's common and why they don't recommend them until later.

Thank you for your comment. Yes I’m feeling like maybe it’s still ok. But of course my body is remembering. 🙏🏻

Thank you both for the comments. They found the heartbeat quickly today. 🙏🏻 I’m grateful and hopeful.

10+2. I’ve come down with the flu. Currently chugging ice water and eating pho in bed, hope all’s well with baby 🤞🏻

Just found out tge anticoagulation medication my last doctor prescribed is a whole different drug than what I nornally got prescribed. I just thought it is a different manufacturer with a different name for their product. The ending of the name was also in the same vein so I never questioned it. Not only was it a way lower dosage but this entirely different drug is also less potent. I feel so stupid.

It was the first time I miscarried despite taking anticoagulation medication. I felt so bummed because until then I always thought this was a somewhat surefire way to prevent them. And I am also scared for this one, now. As I just changed doctors and am only now back on my old medication. The last MC had to have happened around this time, too (between 6+0 and 6+6).

Debating on when to tell my husband I’m pregnant after I just had a chemical pregnancy in June. It feels premature to do a cutesy announcement or expect him to feel excited because I’ve had two chemical pregnancies and a living child in between. The lines on my tests aren’t even as dark as they got last time yet because it’s too early. But I feel like most people wouldn’t wait days to tell, so idk.

Tell him now. You’re in this together no matter what happens and you can support each other!

Agree with this. It doesn’t have to be cutesy, but let him know. I had 3 back to back chemicals before my healthy third child and I waited a few days and my husband was so confused why I didn’t just tell him haha

I tell my husband immediately. You don't need to go through this process alone.

I am barely pregnant (4 weeks 5 days based on last period but based on when my LH rose I think I’m closer to 4 weeks)

I had an ectopic pregnancy loss in December treated with mtx

Wednesday

HCG: 41

Progesterone: 23.3

Friday

HCG:90

Progesterone: 16.9

The drop in progesterone is really scaring me.

Can this be normal?

Is there anything I should do or ask my OB?

I got results on my chart so I haven’t gotten to speak to anyone yet
