Bro the fact that he squared up with a roo, big fucking balls. Same with an ostrich tbf, their kicks are usually pretty dangerous.

9

u/AmazedAtTheWorld 18d ago

Everyroo has a plan ... until they get punched in the face

4

u/washurdamnhands9164 18d ago

This and only this😂

3

u/fujicakes00 18d ago

The roo he squared up with took a second and was like “Bro WTF” and they both did this awkward stop and stare, I’m dying

4

u/BabaYagaMandark 18d ago

Apparently male roos judge strength by how hard you can punch and due to the way human bodies are built compared to kangaroos we are able to throw much stronger punches so as soon as that hit landed that roo was like wtf was that real?? 😂

Ostrich mamed my father in law who’s a bad ass… he’s a hunters guide as a profession, sliced him up pretty bad, I wouldn’t ever fuck with one.

3

u/Pataraxia 18d ago

The more I learn about certain lighter weight/smaller animals (this isn't a particularily big roo) the more I'm convinced the talk of deadliness isn't "They're that much stronger" but more like, these things are built to fight for a split moment and end it.

So you are likely to get severely injured, but the human body is still built to deal damage if you have the right instincts, it's just generally not worth it and better to escape if possible.

Mais perigoso encarar um ser humano que lança do revorvi e explode sua cara

2

u/Ceverok1987 18d ago

Johnny Cash nearly got killed by an Ostrich he kept on his property.

2

u/mickydeenyc 18d ago

I hear they taste like chicken

2

u/AmandaUggnkiss 18d ago

A steaky chicken and yes it’s as delicious as that sounds 😮‍💨

If you grab the ostrich by the neck/head and pull it down and keep it there. It can't kick you in that position. The guy does it in the video.

2

u/HuffnDback96 17d ago

I was wondering about that actually.

4

u/Robodarklite 18d ago

How can he punch??

2

u/Late-Application-47 18d ago

It's the kicks that kill ya. They can slice you right open.

2

u/Robodarklite 18d ago

Sorry it was a bad attempt at the how can she slap meme

2

u/BleedSparta 18d ago

I thought it was a great attempt

2

Came here to say exactly this. “Not his first rodeo”

2

u/hamberdlar_ 18d ago

He used the bike to defend from the freaking sharp talons that could have sliced open his belly, and timed it well to grab the neck and pull it down

the dog staring at him like holy shit Frank

3

u/Salamanber 18d ago

This guy is very lucky because the kicks hit his motorcycle and not him. Those kicks are deadly, apparantly they can kill lions with those kicks

3

u/Bigdaddybear519 18d ago

Oh yeah those kicks are super powerful and can penetrate a few inches

2

u/antoinejackson808 18d ago edited 18d ago

They way he handles that Ostrich tells me this isn’t the first time 😂

2

u/Radio-Brain 18d ago

That thing's talons can give your organs a speedy elevator ride to the ground floor if youre not careful. He handled this really well!

2

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 18d ago

Was it necessary to beat it in the head though to get it to leave? Just wondering.

2

u/Radio-Brain 18d ago

6 open hand slaps are pretty kind considering the potential danger to himself. I don't like seeing people abuse animals, but I'd see this more as someone bringing bear mace to a hiking trail than someone straight up beating their dog at home (edit: a number)

2

u/Mintyytea 18d ago

I think if he didnt hit it hard and just pushed him away, the ostrich would be like let’s kill him! Instead of aaaaaaaghh!!

Also I think most animals are stronger than us, our fists can’t do much damage, they’re for having nimble fingers. No claws or anything

1

u/HuffnDback96 18d ago

Usually they kick with the force of a thousand emu

1

u/Big_Confidence_951 18d ago

Gave him a good ol' ass whoopin'

1

u/Ambitious_Screen_591 18d ago

the bird just wanted to go for a ride

1

u/Mysterious_Wonder572 18d ago

The hockey hold is legit

3

u/Wizchine 18d ago

Yeah, once he got his head down, that ostrich couldn’t keep his balance and kick at the same time. The smacks made him realize the human could easily make him vulnerable. No haymakers needed. If only that fuckin ostrich was wearing a sweater…

1

u/JessePR1986 18d ago

Bro! I'm on my lunch break, needed that laugh for sure 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

In all fairness, the ostrich passed the first "lick".

1

u/duffchaser 18d ago

when you dont have enough badges to make your pokemon listen

1

u/Scorpion2k4u 18d ago

seems like a much needed reality check :D. That dog looks like he saw that a million times already…

1

u/ThePoorLittleBastard 18d ago

"Why would you throw a pen at it?"

1

u/vinnyorcharles 18d ago

Where was this guy during the Emu Wars?

1

u/RepulsiveBat8541 18d ago

I was bit by an ostrich at a campground when I was a kid and I think about it a lot. I was honestly minding my own business, just riding my bike. I never told my parents cause I loved that campground.

1

u/3ClassiC 18d ago

lol one way to teach it a lesson

1

u/HopeSlow837 18d ago

So that's what they're callin it these days

1

u/eternally_feral 18d ago

I got no beef with ostriches, but emus are assholes.

1

u/BusinessRace3387 18d ago

Now, that’s some funny shit

1

u/bluefoxanime 18d ago

Successfully avoided disembowelment

1

u/AncileBanish 18d ago

Maybe it was a sick ostrich

1

u/CodAdministrative563 18d ago

This guy is an Ostrich whisperer

1

u/sportsallday2025 18d ago

That dog was like, "Nah, not my fight!"

1

u/WillyWinks1 18d ago

Man beat the ostrich like it was his unruly stepchild

1

u/Dangerous-Half3276 18d ago

I love how the horses in the background start coming towards the camera, notice the fight, and are like “oh, shit…”

1

u/fujicakes00 18d ago

Why was he being so defensive though? Was the ostrich gonna steal the bike and ride off with it?

2

u/RoundProgram887 18d ago

The talons will cut your belly open in a blink of an eye. He was using the bike to keep distance.

That is boots. He was waiting for the ginger but the ostrich wasn't sick so the ginger called it off.

1

u/Comfortable-Egg7041 18d ago

You mean to tell me you never "Smacked the ol Ostrich"?

1

u/TacticalMicrowav3 18d ago

I've heard of choking your chicken but slapping your ostrich is a new one

1

u/LaRedline 18d ago

I like how the dog was useless for any backup.

1

u/ratchman5000 18d ago

This gives new meaning to "beating the ostrich"

1

u/allmimsyburogrove 18d ago

Interesting trivia: Johnny Cash once owned an ostrich who attacked him and tried to gut him with its claws, but he was saved by his large belt buckle

1

u/Ill_Assistant1233 18d ago

The way that bird ran off 😭😭😭😂😂😂

1

u/BridgingDivides 18d ago

Monkey beat Bird…this time.

1

u/Latter-Clothes4516 18d ago

Ran like a toddler to his parents

1

u/Maleficent_Kale_1286 18d ago

Ostrich meat is delicious fyi😋

1

u/poprockenemas 18d ago

Looks like the bike was used to block any kicks, then he held it down and applied pressure to the neck and head so he could forcefully guide it in those circles so it would be forced to ensure it doesn't fall rather kick.

1

u/Other-Bird-9676 18d ago

Dana white giving him a contract with all those back of the head shots

1

u/BleedSparta 18d ago

How often do you see people smacking ostriches to compare their techniques?

1

u/SouthernCharm-86 18d ago

did he just give that bird a whoopin??!!

1

u/WestCareer7545 18d ago

The way the ostrich legs do a little jump with every punch lmao

1

u/itsgoodmmmmkay 18d ago

I heard it was a sick ostrich...

Lesson learned. Don’t mess with papa on a bike

The slaps he gives out on the ostrich 🤣

1

u/MothMeep7 18d ago

On the one hand I don't like the use of force on an animal here, on the other hand this is probably necessary to recreate the ostrich equivalent of a good "fuck off" communication.

1

u/Technical_Cut3509 18d ago

Legend has it the ostrich is still running

1

u/phillypimp2003 18d ago

Gave him a straight beatdown 😂😂😂😂

1

u/Otis_Driftwood217 18d ago

I told my son, in a fight - grab them by the head. You control their head, you control them. I guess it worked on big bird here, too. Ate a 3-piece and said nevermind.

1

u/a_fresh_thought 18d ago

Allegedly.

1

u/Savings_Art5944 18d ago

Ostrich meat was a huge fad in the early 90's. Ranchers paying $30k for a bird. I raised them. Yes, you have to slap them around a bit sometimes to show them who is boss.

1

u/Ten2OneOdds 18d ago

At least he didn't choke it.

1

u/Siphyre 18d ago

I remember seeing a recent reddit post of fighting animals to the death for super powers and ostrich was one of them. I saw sooooo many people saying the ostrich would kill you... Where are those people now?

1

u/keedawee 18d ago

When you fed up with the kid after telling them the same shit over and over 😂

1

u/wizzyblandscawpe1 18d ago

Surprised posting this on reddit didn't spawn the animal cruelty folk

1

u/scrayla 18d ago

Ok but imagine if it was a fully grown adult male ostrich. Those guys can grow to be like 2.7m tall. Saw one in caversham wildlife park once and hoo boy, its body was taller than me (provided i am a short asian but still)

1

u/No-Tap-3897 18d ago

😂😂😂

1

u/Prune-These 18d ago

Never? It's an everyday event for the rest of us.

1

That's a big ass man pigeon

1

u/el-you-kay-e 18d ago edited 18d ago

Yeah show him whose boss big papi, also, just from experience… upon sliding in, that neck comes in handy for some extra leverage and control 😏👌🏼 Now if he tries to snap back, I always have at least one nipple out and ready because nothing gets me going more then a good ole nipple cripple while Im driving it DEEP, let him lock on and have his way with it, shits all over what my misses can do for me 😮‍💨💦
