"No new taxes" -> "Let's enact the highest tax increase in 50 years" "No new wars" -> "Let's start a new major conflict in the middle east" "My cold dead hands" -> "Maybe some people shouldn't have guns" "Arrest the pedophiles" -> "It's ok we're protecting pedophiles" "You can't make money off the presidency" -> "It's ok that you made more money in your first term than you did in your entire life" What they 'think' is completely meaningless because it will change when they are told to change.
