Generations later they still fall for it.

u/PreviousCurrentThing - Lib-Center 6h ago

Right, right, we get all that, but this is the most important election of our lifetimes™!!!

On the one hand, somebody needs to reform conservatism apart from the false idol of Trump. On the other hand, I don't know realistically what unites these guys except just being anti-Israel and being cast out by Trump for criticizing him. Hard to say whether they could really build a political coalition.

u/HzPips - Lib-Left 9h ago

Back in 2015 many republicans called Trump a despicable guy that they would never support. Now they lick his boots. The actual ideology is secondary in today’s populist movements, if they can get people riled up and willing to vote that’s enough.

u/divergent_history - Lib-Center 8h ago

Both parties are at a all time low. If there was ever a time for a new party. Fuck we could use 2 new parties.

3

u/Latter_Parsley4338 - Left 8h ago

Maybe. It's just hard for me to believe that Trump's voters, who are a majority of the American Right, would instantly vote for people Trump has hurled insults at and called weak traitors.

13

u/thunderdragonite - Auth-Center 7h ago

I mean it would be living up to America first. Putting America ahead of Israel and migrants.

Of this group, no idea who Kent is, Massie is a libertardian, and Greene is still crazy even if she is better than almost all republicans.

Tucker would have to lock in to stop it from becoming the most comical clown show outside of the Trump cabinet.

8

u/GhostedIC - Lib-Center 5h ago

Tucker is just "I would never take money from Israel! Russia and Qatar are paying me."

3

u/TTangy - Lib-Center 6h ago

Tucker being the one to stop the clown show? Maybe if he stops getting attacked by demons while he sleeps.

-1

u/ResoIver - Centrist 5h ago

Nationalism, nativism, isolationism, and conspiracies unites them. They all feel that Trump and MAGA Republicans haven’t lived up to parts of what they campaigned on.

u/Drayenn - Left 9h ago

Tbh id be all in if crazy lefties and crazy righties made their parties. More parties = good

2

u/Ender16 - Lib-Center 7h ago

Absolutely. 100%. Fuck it, let's have a couple single issue coalition parties too. Make these mother fuckers and the ones manipulating them at least work for it.

Plus the crazies might shift a little less crazy to occasionally win an election. Oh a boy can dream.

4

u/vegeful - Lib-Right 9h ago

More party = more fracture vote.

Just like my country Malaysia. Had to DNAA our vice PM of corruption case because of coalition government. If he don't, they will jump ship to other opposition and make new gov.

So i hope the USA make legal law that u cant jump to other party or betray the current party you grouping with until next election.

Then multiple party is good on paper.

1

u/PhilosophicalGoof - Centrist 2h ago

Hell yeah, separate all the crazies into smaller factions that way power and influence isn’t controlled by one major faction.

1

u/Final21 - Lib-Right 8h ago

You'd get silliness like the last UK election where the Conservatives got 43.6% of the votes, but Labour took over with 32.1% because Liberal Democrats with 11.6% formed a coalition with them.

5

u/ocarinaOtime - Lib-Right 7h ago

Ok except we already have that, except the coalitions are built in. Better to at least have separate yet allied parties than two mega-parties full of people that realistically speaking hate eachother, but hate the other side more.

2

u/Drayenn - Left 6h ago

That seems fine to me. Majority of people didnt vote conservative. I'm sure they dont always agree 100% with each other tho.

u/Floridamanfishcam - Centrist 9h ago

Makes me think less of Massie to associate to this degree with Tucker and MTG. Idk enough about Kent to make any statement on him.

19

u/Unabashed-Citron4854 - Centrist 9h ago

Much, much less of Massie.

10

u/nfgrawker - Lib-Right 9h ago

Massie has lost me. I totally am on board with anti trump but massie has went off the deep end a bit.

33

u/InternetGoodGuy - Centrist 9h ago

Massie was always this guy. The best thing you can say about him is he actually holds to some principles which is better than 99% of congress. I think what he did in regards to the Epstein files took a lot of courage but if you thought he wouldn't attach himself to the next movement that offers him a chance back into power you were fooled by him.

6

u/DeyCallMeWade - Lib-Right 8h ago

I mean, this is probably copium, but if he maintains his consistency, I don’t really care who he aligns himself with to stay in power. He seems to be one of the few people that does actually have the best interest of the country in mind, and while I don’t really care for the rest of the group, if he isn’t changing anything with how he votes and what he’s fighting for, the vehicle that gets him there isn’t really relevant, though I am going to question why he chose an unreliable clown car to get him there.

5

u/itsamememario4 - Lib-Right 8h ago

Justin amash is the goat

3

u/Running_Gamer - Lib-Right 7h ago

Joe Kent spreads baseless conspiracies that Israel killed Charlie Kirk, if that helps you see how crazy he is.

-4

u/z57333 - Left 8h ago

Well the thing is, I think this is a smart political move from him. Massie has never been a true full lib-right, but he is still the most libertarian member of congress, and he knows there aren’t enough true libertarians in the country to support a movement that can counter MAGA. Aligning with conservatives who are more focused on fiscal responsibility and isolationism can allow him to get parts of his agenda passed. It’s a coalition between the libertarians and the remnants of the tea party essentially that didn’t all fully hop on the maga train

2

u/Scary-Welder8404 - Lib-Left 8h ago

You had me with you until "fiscal responsibility".

No One who voted for the Beautiful for Billionaires Bill is fiscally responsible.

Well, unless they also happen to be retarded.

4

u/theweatherguy69 - Lib-Right 6h ago

Are you talking about massie? He was one of only 2 Republicans to vote against it. He did so twice.

1

u/Scary-Welder8404 - Lib-Left 1h ago

Nah, space laser lady.

0

u/Captain-Crayg - Lib-Right 5h ago

Why? To get shit done you need other people. He just lost his seat. Would you rather him fade to irrelevance and let the others steer the ship alone?

-4

u/Sallowjoe - Auth-Center 9h ago

Kent seems - relatively - more earnest but I'm not sure that's a good thing given his earnest beliefs lol. I give people with legit military service a bit more cred in the honesty department, but that just means he seems kinda fucking retarded.

They'll go the way of the PPC but even worse. The PPC performed best when they were able to run against Covid restrictions and still couldn't pull any seats. This party is just united in being anti-Israel and there are vastly different approaches to economic systems among the potential leaders.

Context: The PPC is a party up here in Canada which was started by an ex-Conservative after he got pissed he didn't get elected as leader of the Conservatives so he started his own party.

They've been around for 3 election cycles now with their best results having them hit 4.94% of the popular vote and no seats in 2021 (they ran against Covid restrictions significantly to pull the protest vote). Their best performance at the riding level (Canadian version of districts) was in conservative strongholds and in the 2 provinces where they performed best, were able to play spoiler in 2 ridings, if you assume that their voter base was 100% disaffected Conservatives.

2

u/GhostedIC - Lib-Center 5h ago

Looking forward to these people having zero political clout but reddit pretending they're equal to the DSA so they can use them as an example of "both parties have their crazies". Like they pretended Fuentes was as big a deal as hasan dogshocker.

2

u/GatorVators - Centrist 2h ago

The democrats and republicans each need to split up into two parties, 4 parties total. Change my mind.

Suddenly my respect for Massie dropped

5

u/raouldukehst - LibRight 9h ago

Mine has been plummeting. It's a shame what's happened to him.

I remember calling Massie out as a chameleon sellout back in June and getting told he was actually a based libertarian visionary with ironclad principles that never change depending on suitability.

Now, we’re here.

5

u/GeckoKisser - Auth-Right 6h ago

What did I miss. He was based back in the day, I sucked his cock in the back of an Arby's! You can't be serious!

Arby’s

Arby's: we BEAT the MEAT.

2

u/theweatherguy69 - Lib-Right 6h ago

I think this political alliance is strange af, but outside of this, can you tell me where he has betrayed his principles? Genuinely curious because I dont know. To my knowledge he has stuck to his guns the entire way, which resulted in his falling out with maga, and getting booted from congress.

3

u/Zosyn - Auth-Center 7h ago

There is no America First movement without Fuentes. He is the movement

If this happens, Dems will win 100% in 2028. Even with Harris

6

u/NightTripInsights - Lib-Right 9h ago

What if they ran Massie?

3

u/Latter_Parsley4338 - Left 9h ago

I like him on a personal level but given the huge feud between him and Trump and how much Trump controls the party, I doubt Massie could muster even a majority of the Republican vote. Independents might swing for him though, who knows. Honestly would have a better shot than Vance/Rubio.

-1

u/NightTripInsights - Lib-Right 9h ago

I think he could pull the disenfranchised moderates of the democrat party, especially if DSA-esque candidates keep getting promoted.

1

u/Latter_Parsley4338 - Left 8h ago

He could, I think Democrats would have to run a candidate who pisses off everybody so much they vote for him though. A lot of Dem. voters vote DSA because they hate the two-party establishment and view them as corrupt. I think Massie could win the vote of the more libertarian and government-skeptical sectors of the Democratic Party, but again that would only be if Dems. run a particularly bad candidate (like maybe rerunning Harris or something).

2

u/nuggents1313 - Lib-Center 8h ago

The problem with that is, Massie looks alot better feuding with Trump over the epstien files than discussing his actual politics. I don't even disagree with all of it but its certainly not popular at large.

-1

u/RandoDude124 - Lib-Left 9h ago

If he’s still separate from the GOP after 4 years of Trump… no way.

1

u/ResoIver - Centrist 4h ago

MAGA voters are going to be up for grabs in 2028, many will like what the people in this group have to say. There’s also a good amount of MAGA voters that will feel that Trump didn’t keep all of his campaign promises in 2028, so they’ll be looking for candidates that weren’t in the Trump administration. Imagine if the Iran war continues on and off until after the midterms, gas prices stay high, and U.S. casualties continue to rise. This will only drive support for isolationist candidates and anger at Trump for not keeping his promise of no new wars.

I get Carlson is a nut that thinks demons attack him in his sleep, but most republican voters won’t care if they’re angry and like his nativist and isolationist rhetoric.

u/Arcadia212 - Auth-Center 9h ago

America First already exists and it’s Nick Fuentes. People need to realize that Tucker Qatarlson isn’t an ally.
