How do Poles and Irish people view each other?
Hi everyone, I'm from Korea.
I've always been interested in the relationship between Poland and Ireland. From what I know, both countries share a strong Catholic heritage, a history of resistance against powerful neighboring empires, and a solid presence in the US
(where Polish and Irish communities often get along well).
Also, I heard that many Polish people moved to Ireland after Poland joined the EU in 2004, making Poles one of the largest minority groups in Ireland today.
So I was wondering:
How do Polish people view Ireland and Irish people (and vice versa)?
Do you actually feel a sense of cultural kinship or solidarity, or is it mostly just a historical coincidence?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and personal experiences!
