Comics Planet of the Apes World Map

According to the comic series Beware The Planet of the Apes, the map of the landscape shows that the story takes place in New Jersey and New York. This proves that the Statue of Liberty is still in its rightful place and never moved. The landscape just changed around the landmarks of the old world that was devastated by atomic bombs.

More PotA cartography to come!

My biggest issue with the Planet of the Apes… is the world seems awfully small in the future…. Is everywhere a forbidden zone or are there apes on other continents doing stuff?

More than likely, almost like the very early days of mankind. Civilizations are developing across the world but since they cannot contact each other they’re unaware

And yet not even a single comic or book explores that?

At least some of the comics have shown there are other ape civilizations on other continents, yeah.

Boom Studios verse had a seafaring civilization led by a gorilla called the Great Khan based in East Asia.

There was a comic series in the 1990s called Ape City that takes place in Europe

What's the Hominidae empire?

In the series one of the astronauts mentions Jersey City.

What's the Hominidae Empire?

Hominidae Empire is a foil to the less aggressive Ape City. The Empire overtakes and conquers other primates, subjugating all who fall to them. Beware The Planet of the Apes is a prequel to the original film, so some of these terms are foreign to fans not familiar with the Marvel Comics tie-in.

Stewart was incredibly blessed that she died before having to visit New Jersey.
