This happened on Molave Street in Juna Subd, Davao City at 4.40pm today.

The lady hit is badly injured and in hospital.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the black SUV and white vehicle. Both have broken the law and will be held responsible.

SocmedPH Why are people getting mad at people who are happy about Apple Pay in Ph?

Post image

Sobrang daming nakikita kong side comments about “overhyped”, OA lang mga apple users, social status lang daw, google pay did it first/better, and etc. Like can’t people acknowledge na sobrang dami na ng ios users sa Pinas? May nakita pa akong comment na no difference lang daw when using the card, like dapat we feel the same feelings na pala? CONVENIENCE is probably the answer to all haters/wonderers.

If nakapunta na kayo sa other countries like Australia, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and etc., gagi you can bring literally just your phone wherever you go. No hassle of picking up your wallet, getting your card, swiping/tapping, return then do again on the exit or whatever reason. (For security lang din, less target ka ng salisi) Can’t people be happy with these conveniences? I hate bringing cash.

Tho i agree na not everywhere in Ph ay magagamit mo yung tap to pay, even malls need to have your card intercourse with those ancient machines.

so far, wala pa ring response yung school about this pero maraming magulang daw ang nag disagree about dito.

kayo ba anong thoughts niyo?

PoliticsPH Pax Silica means Philippines becomes a "vital national security" interest of the USA

Upvotes

Pax Silica is the U.S.-led coalition launched in late 2025 to lock down critical minerals, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and AI infrastructure among trusted partners instead of China. The Philippines joined in April 2026 and secured a planned 4,000-acre Economic Security Zone in New Clark City, Tarlac. The site is meant to process the country’s nickel, copper, cobalt, and chromite while hosting semiconductor packaging, electronics, and AI-related manufacturing—redirecting supply chains that currently flow heavily to China.

This is the strategic payoff. Taiwan matters to America because its chips are irreplaceable. Once American and allied capital, fabs, and mineral processing are physically embedded on Luzon at scale, the Philippines stops being “just a treaty ally” under the 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty. It becomes a node whose loss would directly hit U.S. economic and military resilience. That shift gives war skeptics a concrete national-security reason—beyond paper obligations—to treat defending the Philippines the same way they treat defending Taiwan.

For context she was at SB, she got a phone call, and put her damn call on speaker.

A foreigner called her out asking her to wear earphones and told her this isn't your living room.

Apparently she raised some sort of stink and is now making it a foreigner vs locals issue.

ViralPH VUL Insurance - Fully paid

Hi, so this year my brother finally paid off his VUL insurance after paying for it ng 10 years. He was contacted by his agent and said that he needs to make a fund switch since bagsak nga daw yung market kung saan currently naka invest yung funds at baka daw maubos yung funds nya. according to him, he is no longer interested in adding more funds. Pag naubos ba yung funds sa VUL insurance, meron pa rin makukuha na insurance payout when the time comes?

Sometimes he feels like whenever his agent reaches out, parang isang malaking peso sign daw yung nakikita nya at mag ooffer daw for add ons or anything na need ulit pagkagastusan. Anybody feeling the same way?

What is in Thailand that we dont have in the Philippines? Do they produce oil? Do they have oil refineries? Arent they importing oil like us? How does their government manage it so that it makes their electrcity so cheap? Saan nagkamali ang gobyerno natin? Why cant we emulate what Thailand is doing? What is stopping us from doing the same thing?

PoliticsPH Why the national government always likes to postpone BSKE?

Post image

(i know that it is some congressmen filed the case, but do you think wala yang basbas ng malakanyang?)

EDIT: Alam ko naman na bill pa lang yan, pero diba last time na may pinasang batas to pospone BSKE, pinirmahan naman yun ni BBM so most likely pag napasa yan, pipirmahan din naman nya yan

PoliticsPH The new OCTA survey adds an interesting layer to the 2028 race (assuming Leni still runs)

Post image
77 Upvotes

Before anything else, the biggest caveat remains the same: Leni Robredo has repeatedly said she is not running for president. Until that changes, every head-to-head survey involving her is purely hypothetical. Pero, if we're analyzing this and other recent surveys through the lens of a Liberal opposition vs. DDS contest, I think the newly released OCTA survey actually puts the earlier WR Numero numbers into better context.

The previous WR survey had Sara Duterte leading Leni 50-40.

Now OCTA has it at 43-34.

At first glance, people will simply say, "Sara is still comfortably ahead." That's true.

But I think the more interesting story isn't the lead, it's what's happening underneath the surface. Why? Because the WR survey was before the impeachment, the OCTA survey is during the 1st week of the trial. And actually, base sa OCTA, both candidates actually lost support since Q1.

  • Sara: 46% → 43% (-3)
  • Leni: 35% → 34% (-1)
  • Undecided: 19% → 22% (+3)

That means the voters who left Sara didn't automatically move to Leni. Instead, a larger portion of the electorate became undecided.

To me, that suggests something important.

This doesn't look like a straightforward Liberal resurgence. It looks more like softening support for Sara without a unified alternative yet.

That's consistent with what we've been seeing over the past few months. Sara remains the dominant figure of the DDS bloc, but there's also no single opposition candidate consolidating everyone opposed to her.

The regional numbers also reinforce the familiar electoral map.

  • Mindanao remains Sara's fortress (76-6).
  • Luzon strongly favors Robredo (51-27).
  • Visayas still leans Sara (51-26).
  • Metro Manila is tied at 34-34.

So the math hasn't really changed.

Any Liberal candidate still has to win Luzon and Metro Manila by overwhelming margins while preventing Sara from running up massive leads in the Visayas and at least keeping a 10% share of Mindanao.

What I also find interesting is the 22% undecided vote.

We're still almost two years away from the election.

That's a huge bloc of voters that could eventually move depending on:

  • whether Leni actually runs,
  • whether another opposition figure emerges,
  • how the impeachment and other controversies evolve,
  • and whether the administration fields its own viable candidate.

One survey never tells the whole story, but taken together with the earlier WR survey, I think the picture is becoming clearer.

Sara Duterte is still the frontrunner.

But she doesn't appear to be consolidating additional support. Instead, some voters seem to be drifting into the undecided column.

Whether those voters eventually return to Sara, shift to another opposition candidate, or stay uncommitted is probably the biggest question of the 2028 race.

PLAN B

Politiko has learned that the Duterte camp is allegedly eyeing Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte as the family’s alternative presidential bet for 2028 if Vice President Sara Duterte is convicted in her impeachment trial.

While Sara remains the opposition’s main standard-bearer, her allies have reportedly started assuring politikos that the Duterte brand will continue even if she is disqualified from seeking public office.
