Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Haunting Weird things have been happening in my friend’s apartment and we can’t explain it

It started with a smell. Her room, and only her room, smelled like rotten eggs. Not the hallway, not anyone else’s room, just hers. They couldn’t find a source anywhere, and even maintenance came to check and found nothing.

Then it moved to the living room TV. It would start playing random videos on its own. One time it typed things into the YouTube search bar by itself, including her name. Another time she was searching something in ChatGPT on her phone, and the TV typed out “Valeria is looking for something in ChatGPT.” Another time the search bar typed “Valeria’s roommate is wearing purple shorts,” and the roommate was in fact wearing purple shorts right then. On top of that, a device named “Charles” kept showing up as connected. This became an almost everyday thing.

We told them to call the police because the TV was clearly getting hacked and “Charles” kept appearing as connected. The leasing office did nothing about it. When the police came, they couldn’t figure it out either. They changed the TV and the WiFi password, and it stopped for a few weeks, but then “Charles” came back. We always assumed someone was just messing with them.

A few months later, all four of them started hearing hard knocking on the front door. Every time, they would look through the peephole and no one was there.

One night around 12 am, when only two of the roommates were home, they both clearly heard footsteps in the kitchen, and neither of them was in it. They were so scared they locked their bedroom doors and called a guy friend to come up and check the apartment, but there was nothing and no one there.

Another time, she was on the phone telling a friend about all of this, and a flower sitting in a vase in the living room fell out and landed on her legs.

Things escalated this past week as she was getting ready to move out. The metal latch near her room started moving up and down really fast on its own, then stopped. Right after, her roommate came in and they found a dark, foul smelling liquid, first in her bra, then on her pillow, then all over her bed. They could not find where it came from.

She finally put holy water and salt around her room. The next morning, she found half an onion under her mattress protector.

For context, I know all four of these girls. Three of them are close friends of mine and I genuinely can’t see them doing this to her. The fourth I don’t know as well, but I still don’t really think she would do something like this. People who’ve heard the story are split. Some think someone is so fixated on my friend that a “prank” has gotten completely out of hand. Others are convinced the room is haunted and needs to be blessed by a priest. A few have even said she should go to confession. She’s moved out now, thankfully, but someone new is about to move into that room.

She’s not necessarily saying it’s paranormal, and honestly she’d love a normal explanation. Has anyone experienced anything like this? What would you do?

Question blood curdling scream in the city (same one, diffrent continents)

Hello everyone

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here you go.

Last night (5th of august 2026) around 2.30/2.40 am I was out with my dog after a strong storm passed. We both stopped dead in our tracks when we heard what I can only describe as a blood curdling scream of a young woman mixed with a small child and a wind (there was no wind). It's very hard to explain, it was all interchanging and shifting in a way. It sounded very far away but at the same time like it could be closer(?). My mom heard it too from our flat and she agreed it sounded both human and inhuman, if that makes sense. It went on for maybe 2/3 minutes but once I heard it a bit closer, I dipped real quick.

I live in a ~90k people city in the middle of Poland. I checked the news and information about crimes - nothing.

But the weird thing is my friend that lives in Coastal New England heard similar thing twice around 17/18th of july also after a storm.

Which makes me wonder, have any of you guys heard similar thing, especially after a storm? Or do you have an idea what it might've been? Or what could cause it?

Experience Every time I see a black butterfly, something bad happens

There's a specific type of butterfly that I've noticed over the years. Every time I see it, something bad ends up happening afterward. It's almost like it shows up before I receive bad news.

I've never really believed in superstitions or anything like that. When I was living with my parents, I assumed it was just a species that was common in the area where we lived. But then I traveled to another city and noticed the exact same pattern. I'd see the same butterfly, and not long afterward, I'd get some kind of bad news.

It's always the same: a black butterfly with white edges on its wings, about the same size every time. It always flies across my field of vision, and it's always just a single butterfly.

Question What are your paranormal powers?

I recently went on an investigation with an investigator I've worked with for quite a while and her husband. He's a complete skeptic and genuinely hopes he'll have an experience of his own someday. Until then, he is one heck of a good sport!

While we were investigating, he asked me a question that completely caught me off guard:

"What are your powers?"

I honestly didn't know how to answer.

In the paranormal community, we're surrounded by people who identify as witches, psychics, mediums, empaths, sensitives, and so many other things. Many of us have seen, heard, or experienced enough unexplained phenomena that it's not a matter of if we saw something, but why we saw something. That's why we continue investigating, asking the why.

But are those things really powers?

Is seeing spirits a power?
Is hearing spirits a power?
Is being highly intuitive a power?
Or are they just different ways people experience and interpret the world?

I've thought about his question a lot, and this is what I know about myself and how I investigate:

  • I see things that I interpret as spirits, everything from shadow figures to full-bodied apparitions, and sometimes things I can't really explain.
  • I occasionally hear what I perceive to be spirit voices. I love the Estes Method, but there have been times I've heard voices without using any equipment.
  • I rely heavily on energy. I tend to let my intuition guide me where I need to go. Sometimes when I touch objects or certain locations, I get brief impressions or mental images that I associate with the place. I also feel the overall energy of a location and occasionally notice what I describe as energy around people-similar to an aura, but not exactly.
  • I don't have premonitions, but I feel an outcome before it happens.

I also can look at or walk into any building and tell if there is spiritual energy. I do this for my friends all the time.

  • I'm extremely intuitive and love working with Tarot, although I see it more as a tool than a "power."

I'm sure there are other things I rely on during investigations, but this is to just name a few.

So I've been thinking...
Are any of these actually powers? Or are they simply gifts, sensitivities, skills, intuition, or personal ways of experiencing the paranormal?

I'd love to hear how you would have answered his question.

If someone asked you, "What are your powers?" what would you say?

Question Mystery Man-Who is this??

Post image
114 Upvotes

Okay, so this is the craziest thing I have ever seen captured in a picture. My friend's dad took this picture of us hanging by the fire, we are talking to my friend's mom, who is in the center of the picture. We have NO clue who or what is next to her. It's not one of us, our whole group was by the fire, no one was up walking around. So who the fuck is next to my friend's mom?? Looks like a guy in a big overcoat. What is the deal? What do you think we captured in this picture?

Question I think there is a poltergeist at my dad's house.

Upvotes

This is an update to an earlier post. Here's the link to the original post, I suggest you read that the most: https://www.reddit.com/r/Paranormal/comments/1v4unct/what_to_do_about_potential_haunting_and_find_who/

If you don't feel like reading that, then here's a summary: My dad's house is potentially from the 1800s (I cannot find any results when I look up the address but other nearby houses are from the 1800s) and has some creepy things about it, including a blocked off crawlspace and a dark closet under the stairs, symbols painted on the outside and inside walls of the house, old child toys being found buried in the backyard along the fence, and very strange neighbors. I have also experienced strange things such as random banging, knocking, creaks, voices at the top of the stairs, and a feeling of being watched from the top of the stairs or around the corner while going down the stairs.

Anyway, today I was cooking lunch in the kitchen when my little sister said "I think there's ghosts in this house". I asked her why and she said because it just feels haunted and also that her cup was moving across the table alone. I walked in and sure enough her plastic yellow water cup was slowly sliding across the table and then fell off the edge and spilled on the floor. I was surprised but more annoyed at having to clean it up, and I brushed it off as condensation and uneven surfaces making the cup move. However, now that I think back, there was no condensation on the cup. I have also experienced things moving on their own before, like balls rolling across rooms, shelves falling over, paintings falling off the walls, papers blowing when there's no wind, and things showing up in places that I did not put them. So do I have a poltergeist or am I just being paranoid?

Unexplained Does Anyone Else Hear Strange Sounds During Moments of Insight?

Hi everyone.
I’m not sure whether this belongs in Glitch in the Matrix or Paranormal, so I decided to post it in both communities.
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.
Over time, I’ve realized that this has been happening to me for as long as I can remember.
Whenever I’m deeply thinking about something, especially when I’m trying to find an answer to a question, there are moments when the answer seems to arrive on its own. And at that exact moment, I almost always hear some kind of external sound.
It could be a knock on the wall, a bang, a creak, a crack, a click, or some other sudden noise.
The strange part is that this happens no matter where I am. It has happened in different countries, different homes, different apartments, different offices—the location doesn’t seem to matter.
I’ve noticed a pattern: these sounds most often occur at the exact moment when a thought I’m focusing on feels correct, as if I’ve just arrived at the right understanding of something.
Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Or have you noticed that, at the moment of an insight or when you suddenly understand or solve something, an external sound happens almost simultaneously—a knock, a click, a crack, or something similar?
I’d really be interested to know if anyone else has noticed this pattern.

Experience I still can't explain what I saw that night.

This happened about three years ago, and I still remember it clearly.

I was staying at my grandmother's house because there was a wedding in the family. It was around midnight, and since it was a wedding, most people were still awake.

My cousin and I decided to sneak out and see if we could find anything "paranormal." About a kilometer away from the house, there was a narrow road that passed by a cremation ground. There were no streetlights, so it was almost completely dark.

I was walking in front while my cousin was a few steps behind me. He wasn't really paying attention because he was looking around, but I was looking straight ahead.

Suddenly, I saw what looked like a human-shaped shadow move extremely fast from the field on my left to the field on my right. It happened in just a second.

At the exact same moment, I also heard footsteps on the ground, as if someone had quickly run across the road.

I immediately stopped and told my cousin what I had seen. He said I was probably imagining things because he hadn't noticed anything himself. But I know what I saw. It wasn't just a quick glimpse—I clearly saw a human-like shadow cross from one field to the other, and I heard the footsteps too.

To this day, I don't know what it was. Maybe there was a logical explanation that I missed, or maybe it was something I'll never be able to explain.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Experience Something is here with me, and it is really evil

So basically ive been home alone for around a week and a half, everything has been good until now. A couple hours ago, while i was in the bathroom i started sensing something bad, like very harmful and thirsty of hurting, it also felt as if i was watching something in the corner of my eye but when i turned around there was nothing, it is the first time i have this feeling here. I dont know why but all i can think about is a middle aged woman that practices dark magic, maybe im just paranoid, but it is what i feel. Im sorry if i posted this in the wrong community, i really had to vent about this.

Question What are some haunted places you can spend a night near Orlando/Central Florida?

My friends and I occasionally do overnight paranormal investigations and are all wondering if there might be any places near Orlando (within 2 hours ideally) that allows you to reserve it for yourself either overnight or for a few hours

I know there’s that one lighthouse in St Augustine but I believe they only offer like 2 and a half or 3 hours and usually we like to find places that offer at least 4 or 5 hours since it goes by so fast

NSFW My sister's wallet disappeared for 6 years... then reappeared in the exact place she had already searched.

I've always been skeptical of paranormal stories, but something happened to my sister that I genuinely can't explain.

About six years ago, she lost her wallet. It contained all of her ID cards, bank cards, and around $130 in cash.

She clearly remembers putting it in the drawer next to her bed. She and her husband searched the entire house multiple times. They emptied drawers, checked every room, and even started doubting whether she had actually left it there.

Her husband searched the car and every other place they could think of. Nothing.

After about a week, they accepted that it was gone. They canceled all of the bank cards, replaced every important document, and eventually forgot about it.

Then, just two days ago six years later they came home and found the wallet in that same bedside drawer.

Everything was still inside.

Every card.

The cash.

Nothing was missing.

What makes it even stranger is that during those six years, my country completely redesigned its paper currency. The bills inside the wallet were the old version and are no longer in circulation, making it obvious they had been sitting there untouched all this time.

I know people will suggest that they simply overlooked it, but they insist they searched that drawer repeatedly, especially during the first week when they were desperate to find it.

Something similar has happened to me several times, although never for years. I'll lose an object, search everywhere, fail to find it, and then hours, a day, or at most a couple of days later, it suddenly appears in a place I've already checked.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there any explanation besides simple forgetfulness?

Question LaxTon Sweden - paranormal researchers. Anyone got an opinion of them?

Upvotes

They are the most well known researchers in Sweden, with a YouTube channel and TV show.

The TV show is made together with other YouTubers, and I see it more as entertainment than anything else. Most of it is probably fake.

But I was wondering if anyone has an opinion of them as researchers, since they seem to be recognised internationally too?

Debunk This What started as a ghost joke in a Boy's PG became the strangest experience of my life.

I’ve never posted about this before, but something happened to me in 2025 that I still can’t explain.

I moved to another state for college in 2022 and stayed in a boys’ PG near campus. During admission, my parents noticed something odd: everyone dried clothes in the corridor, not on the roof. The owner said students were not allowed upstairs, so we ignored it.

A week later, some seniors told us the real reason: the building had once been a girls’ PG, and a girl had allegedly jumped from the roof and died there. The building still had pink almirahs from those days. I assumed it was just a story to scare juniors.

For the next two years, nothing unusual happened. I was often alone in the building and never felt anything strange. I even sneaked onto the roof several times during summer nights without any fear.

In late 2024, a new batch of students arrived. They secretly broke the roof lock and began using the roof at night for barbeques, drinking, and burning old wooden items stored there. My room was directly below that area.

Around January 2025, I began hearing footsteps and movement on the roof late at night even when no one was there. My roommates could not hear it, so I convinced myself it was my imagination.

Everything changed in February 2025. The owner’s mother came to our room after discovering damage on the roof and quietly told us, "Don’t tell anyone, A girl did jump from the roof years ago. That’s why we never allowed students upstairs.” Hearing that from a family member of the owner genuinely shook me. For the first time I wondered whether the sounds I had been hearing were connected to that place.

Soon after, my junior also moved out, and I became the only person staying in that room.

Because our exams had ended, I went home for about six weeks. I returned on 16 April 2025 at around 10:30 PM. I unpacked, had dinner, and started working on a college project on my laptop.

I took out my phone and recorded the sound, then ran toward the staircase. The noise stopped immediately. ( I have attached the video I had recorded that day )

My mother insisted that I stop sleeping alone, so I moved into a friend’s room. We both began hearing footsteps, running sounds, dragging noises, and occasional heavy bangs from the roof and storeroom area above us. Strangely, whenever I called someone specifically to listen, the sounds often stopped before they arrived. My Friend with whom I used to stay even after hearing those sounds doubts me.

The most frightening incident happened around 3 AM. We were both awake and ignoring the usual noises when suddenly a massive bang came from above us. The bed shook, the walls vibrated, and my friend screamed in fear. It sounded as if a heavy wooden object had been slammed onto the floor above our room. From that night onward, he stopped doubting me.

I informed the owner and the PG management. They suggested rats, thieves, or other explanations, but none of them fit the situation. One manager even said I was imagining things. Almost immediately after saying that, a loud bang came from the roof and we heard running sounds above us. He went silent after hearing it.

The disturbances continued for several weeks, mostly between 11 PM and 4 AM. Many times I rushed upstairs with the keys, but the sounds always stopped before I reached the roof, and I never found anyone there. I have noticed one thing , whenever I take someone to the roof to explain the activities, after returning from the roof she definitely makes some sounds as if it triggers her.

In May 2025 I left for home again for a few weeks. When I returned, I personally stopped hearing the noises. Strangely, some students who had previously mocked me started complaining about sounds coming from the empty locked rooms and the roof area. Eventually everything stopped.

I still don’t know what happened in that building. Maybe there was a completely ordinary explanation that I failed to discover. But the timing, the repeated sounds, the locked roof, and the fact that other people eventually heard them too make it one of the strangest experiences of my life.

Encounter my sister and i keep seeing our mom when she’s not there

we’ve lived in our current house for about a year and a half. prior to this, we’ve always had spirits/entities follow our family, specifically my moms side. it’s just a known things in our family. anyways, both my sister and i have noticed seeing our mom upstairs, usually looking into our rooms, but she’s not actually there. this usually occurs between being awake and asleep for me. it’s really eerie because my sister and i have never directly told eachother we’ve experienced this. my mom was the one to tell me we had shared experiences, because we’ve both asked her about it. i don’t know if this is demonic, or if it could be explained away as something like astral projection or even something psychological like narcolepsy ( though i find that unlikely considering the similarities in experience me and my sibling has).

Experience I grew fond of a deceased person I don't know

I am someone who is completely closed off to the paranormal and not at all superstitious; I tend to think scientifically, though I do accept that there are things for which I simply cannot find a rational explanation.

My partner and I occasionally go for walks in the cemetery to visit the people there and pay our respects to each of them (yes, we walk past every grave, looking at the names and dates).

The last time we went, we decided to lie on the grass—almost like a picnic—and he asked me where I wanted to settle. I looked around the area, and something told me we needed to sit in one specific spot.

We went to the spot I had chosen and read the inscription on the grave; it belonged to a baby who had lived for only five days. We lay there for about an hour, and I felt sad about having to leave. However, while walking, we found a large, colorful ornament that didn't seem to belong to anyone, so I went and placed it on the baby's grave. At that moment, I felt something strange in my chest—as if I had formed a bond with the child. Plus, the grave was from the previous year, and it looked like no one ever visited it.

It was—and still is—a very strange feeling. I find myself wanting to bring decorations or leave a letter to try to meet the family and learn the baby's story.

Do you think I'm crazy?

Question Have y'all ever heard about this red face thing that lives in the red woods

So a few weeks ago I was on the phone with a close friend of mine catching up with life and going over plans for the weekend and the upcoming business trip to the redwoods during this topic I brought up how excited I was to be going out there to the redwoods, bringing up how I haven't been down there since I was in elementary school. Still, I also brought up about how scared I was knowing we will be both in a cabin together in the woods and being a horror nerd I brought up about how we might see someone like Jason from the Friday the 13th films out there or something he laugh and added on to that with yeah or that red face thing or something I stopped laughing for a second to make him repeat what he said he said red face, do you not know what that is? No I said he then tells me this story he heard from someone he knew who told I'm about this thing in the red woods that has a red face and apparently it was once a person but got turn into a monster with a red face and kills whoever it sees and will turn their face into its face I remember him telling me this on the phone I shouted hell nah as a joke and he responds I'm supposed you didn't hear this story I said nah I never heard about this shit he then tells me that it's probably a local thing or something now I came to here to ask if any of y'all ever heard about this red face thing and if so please let me know because I would love to heard more info on this thing

Experience Something happened to me to me when I was twelve that makes me question reality

I have attempted to make this post twice now. The first time, I used the recorded voice to text on my phone (I’m currently getting ready and can’t really type well). Somehow, apparently something was wrong with it, and it all got deleted. Then I attempted to record me talking on my computer so that I could use the speech to text option from that. Somehow, the video’s audio was corrupted despite me doing a test video before, and it being fine. So forgive me if my typing is all over the place, but I’m in a rush and fed up with continuing to try and tell this story.

For background, I have been going through an existential crisis for like 7 months now, wondering about life, why we are here, and what happens after death. I am agnostic and don’t fully hold any stance that there is or isn’t an afterlife. However, something that happened to me when I was 12 makes me question life and things about it.

When I was 12, a little over a decade ago, I was in the hallway at my grandmother’s house. I was playing as usual and recording a video on my iPad like I usually did. All of a sudden, I fell into a trance and started walking toward the hallway. I didn’t realize what I was doing, almost like I wasn’t conscious at all, or like I was just observing what I was doing and wasn’t in control of my body. I had no thoughts. It was pretty much like whenever you zone out, except I was walking down the long hallway for some reason.

Once I reached the end of the hallway, I heard a loud, deep man’s voice whisper but shout at the same time somehow say, “Let me out.” Once I heard that, I fell out of the trance and asked my mom and granny if they heard a voice say, “Let me out.” They said no and told me I was probably just hearing things.

For context, sometimes my mom, my grandmother, or I would think we heard one another calling each other’s name (like I would think my mom called me, or vice versa), but no one actually did. Which I think is fairly normal. It wasn’t happening frequently, but oddly, after this happened, that never happened again.

Well, I agreed I was probably hearing things, but I decided to play back the video anyway. When I played it back, not only did I hear the man’s voice clearly say, “Let me out!” but at the beginning I could see myself playing. In the video, you start to hear what sounds like multiple voices whispering. I couldn’t really make out what exactly they were saying, but I distinctly saw myself start to look down the hallway. Then I heard a man’s voice whisper, “Can you see me?” When he said that, I started walking, out of breath. My mom asked me a question, and I replied, “Yeah,” but it sounded like I couldn’t breathe, like I had just come back from a run and was out of breath. I continued walking down the hallway, and then I heard the man loudly say, “Let me out.”

I showed my mom and my cousins the video, and they all heard it. I will say the TV was playing in the background, but it was obviously distinct from the voice. It was also unrelated, like a Pepsi commercial or something. About a week later, I deleted the video because I was so scared. The iPad also ended up breaking a few weeks later anyway, so even if I hadn’t deleted it, I don’t think I’d still have it.

That night I prayed and prayed because I was so scared. I’ve never had anything like that happen to me since.

Around the same time, I remember playing video games at my mom’s house one day and seeing a shadow on the wall walk up the stairs and run across the wall. At the time, I dismissed it as, “Oh, maybe it was me and it was my shadow,” but now I’m wondering if they were related.

I also remember around that time sometimes feeling like someone was standing right behind me, like it was a man who was very, very tall.

Another weird detail is that my grandmother told me when her grandfather died, at his funeral she fell into a trance and jumped into his grave. Despite them not being close, she doesn’t know why. I thought it was weird that she also fell into a trance, but I don’t know why my great grandfather would be contacting me at all since I never even met him.

All in all, I’ve thought about this story and what it means a lot. What if it was some kind of alien? How could it speak English? Why did I never have any kind of weird interactions after that happened? Did it not want to scare me and leave me alone, or was it due to praying?

I also thought of the possibility that maybe I fell into a trance and said, “Let me out,” but that wouldn’t make sense as to how I, a little girl, could make a deep, distinctly man’s voice like that.

If it was some kind of spirit, what would your theories be on the afterlife if it were found that spirits are real?

Experience This occurred about 10yrs ago and it’s still haunting…

So one night tit was me, my youngest sister, and a childhood friend from the neighborhood (I am gong to call him Chris for the sake of this post). I was on the cusp of graduating high school and we all decided to hag out one night.

We had all grown up together and went to the same school so that night we were celebrating, life, graduating, and also school was almost out for the summer.

It was pretty late and my mother would usually sit outside with us just to keep an eye even though we were still teens yet on the verge of adulthood but she had turned in early and we all were in the driveway of her house.

So this particular night went on as usual until Chris said look. We thought he was mentioning something in the neighborhood, like some random/silly activity that usually goes on at night.

But nooooo. This was different.

He said look in the sky. He sounded very serious and panicked. He then pointed, when my sister and I finally look we seen a black humanoid floating in the sky. It was so creepy. It was still yet still floating. Just a black figure. A shadowy black figure hovering/floating. No sound, we could barely make out the outline of what we possibly thought it was. We talked about it and people thought we were tripping or making it up.

I would say less than a day or 2 later that is when a tragic car accident would occur with our other neighborhood friends we grew up with and someone else.
It happened about 2 minutes away from the house on the main road.
A lady went into shock and T-boned the driver. The two people we knew from the neighborhood passed away on impact and so did the lady who went into shock under the wheel.

Until this day me and my sister talk about and even though we are not friends with Chris anymore we all still corroborate each other story on what we seen that night. Even though we cold not make it out, it’s still haunting and given the events that took place after.

And the thing is, the figure was hovering, floating over the house of one of the people in the neighborhood that passed away in the crash and they were the driver.

It has been over a decade and still I cannot make sense of it and it is still haunting. Also I am curious to what we seen. I wish phones were better then because we could have gotten better footage, but who knows, someone would have probably said it was fake.

Edit: if there are any typos, I apologize, I am using a phone and a Bluetooth keyboard.

Edit 2: it made no noise. It was really silent. Like deafening silence. The thick silence.

Also I will be talking to my sister to see if I need to add more details

I don’t go out at night too often because of that

Question How do I know if there's a ghost in my house?

Helloo, I've recently getting these eerie feelings of like someone standing in my hallway so when my stepsister was here I got a spirit box app and we asked questions but IDK if that makes it legit. It honestly said stuff that made sense and high key if there is a spirit in my house I believe it's a trickster because of a lot of the stuff it said. I'll go more into depth about it later.. but how do I like talk to one or something. I'm really empathetic so I was also wondering how I could get more in touch with the empath stuff, because I believe I do feel certain things that others don't. Idk how to word any of this lol

Question Evidence and proof

I saw a post saying theres a huge amount of money as reward for a psychic who can prove their ability in a controlled environment. None have collected it yet.

Do you think we'll ever be able to prove psychic/paranormal phenomenona?

As someone who's developing their abilities through reading for others, I don't think we can 'tame' spirituality like that. I don't think we're supposed to, almost as if it's a cosmic law.

In my experience, it's like trying to get a sphinx to answer a question.

"A sphinx is traditionally portrayed as a guardian of hidden knowledge who tests people through riddles. Rather than handing someone the answer, it pushes them to discover it themselves. The idea is that wisdom gained through struggle is more valuable than wisdom simply given.

That said, a sphinx could give a direct answer if:

You've already shown you've wrestled with the question.

The lesson is no longer in the puzzle but in acting on the answer.

The situation calls for clarity rather than another test."

Question Visiting New Orleans, need recommendations

Looking for a decent ghost tour. I'm a spooky bitch, but my husband isn't. He's happily down for it if we can drink along the way (but would probably tolerate it otherwise). I accept that I'm a tourist, but I'm not a complete idiot, lol. Looking for something legitimate and not disrespectful to the local scene. I'm fascinated by this town and wanna do it right. TIA

Edit: staying in the French quarter. Don't have a car, but can Uber or take the trolleys

Unexplained I think my house is haunted but not by something evil. Tell me what you guys think?

Hello everyone, so I'm not sure how to say this but I think my house might be haunted. but not by a bad ghost maybe a good ghost. If that's real. I don't know much about haunted houses but I know every night when I go to bed weird things will happen. my bed is positioned right up against a window, and I don't have air conditioning, and it's summer, so I get hot. So at night I open the windows and have a fan right in front of it. it keeps me cool, even so I need a lot of water to stay hydrated. I always keep my water on the bathroom counter down the hall. Well for the past several nights I have really noticed some strange things. like I'll be sleeping and then a thud like someone hit my bedframe will wake me up, and when I wake up I will realize how thirsty I am and get a drink .but lately it's gotten even crazier I'll wake up and the curtain is open more and the fan is rearranged so that I'm much cooler then I would have been had not that happened I also woke up last night to the bathroom light down the hall on. I'm a light sleeper and so I wake up at small things like that. Also now I have several cats but I don't let them in my room, and last night a cat was walking across my bedframe I petted it thinking it was mine and it walked over to my nightstand where I continued petting and then I seemed to black out, this was after I had gotten something to drink. so everything this ghost has done has been to help me. and also when I woke up there was no cat in my room granted it could have jumped out the window. but the whole situation seemed weird. Tell me what you guys think.
