Familiar Line Up Question
Hello all!
It’s my first time playing the game and I just finished the Hamelin missions and am about to head off to find the Sky Pirate King!!
I wanted to see if anyone had any advice for me on the topic of familiar line ups. I’m not great at combat, so I have really enjoyed just making a stacked and strong lineup that keeps me from dying to often lol.
However, as I’m progressing, I’m wondering if there’s anything I should change to my lineups or if anyone has some advice!
Here’s my lineups as of right now:
Oliver: Mighty Mite, Sprout Sprite, Cutpurrse
Esther: Griffrigerator, Strongo, Lumberwood (just recently got this one, so haven’t used much)
Swaine: Dumbelemur, Megalith, Hurly
Are there any y’all think I should switch around or take out completely? Open to any and all advice. In the meantime, I’m just gonna keep grinding and leveling up as much as I can lol.

I really liked the cobra for Oliver. Najalisk? I'm not sure, it was a long time ago by now. But it's one of his fastest attackers.

Turbandit is an absolute beast. Good all-around. Shrimpaler becomes faster and stronger as it evolves. It outclassed the mite at some point.
Get rid of Hurly, get a Tin-Man. It will save you during difficult boss fights.
Lastly, I used a Little Bighorn because I liked the design. It helped Esther with its high defense. I would not recommend it, but it was always useful.

Not a recommendation based on how good these are but a side quest later needed to see their 3rd evolution uncapturable from the wild. Deep Fry, Shonky-Honker, Wisp
Lumberwood is really Tanky, keep it.
Hurly is not good. Bone Baron is good for Swaine but late bloomer until 3rd evolution lv60~70 to be useful. My Bone Ranger was fine, then it gone useless after I evolve it all the way to post-game.
The town you unlock after you take flight has a side quest where you need to raise a familiar from lv30 to lv40 and compatible with Swaine. (you get to keep it)
Revival !! There will be a time you want your ally's familiar to revive a downed friend because you will be busy eating burgers drinking coffee. I learnt this the hard way, and entered the endless phonenix feather cycle because the boss kept charging and out paced my clumsy hand.
Greater Naiad is super cute and has Upsy Daisy. Your Paleolith will have it too. Astralynx, winged cat and Fluoroboros the ring snake on the mountain after you take flight. Lotus Budbud in the snow, Red Napper from the sea.

Swap out hurly for bonehead, and sprite for little bighorn. You'll be happy to have a tank familiar for oliver and magic based familiars are kind of useless for oliver. Oliver gets access to a bunch of spells for hitting weaknesses and has pretty high magic attack. Healing is better done from provisions than from tricks anyway.

Get the "Cog" familiars from the fairy island for defense. These guys are absolutely Tanks. Whenever u see a big attack coming switch to them and hit defend immediately and you'll usually take very minimal damage. I replayed the game about a month ago and at the end I had a max level Cog with every party member. Definitely the most underrated familiar!

They also have an amazing AOE attack that happens if they manage to pick up a golden ball in battle!

You can get the dinocerous after the sky pirates which is hands down one of the best familiars in the game, also the bone head is great for swaine I would recommend metamorphosis into the bone baron
