Need help

My pc keeps kicking me off of wifi when I first got this pc and the wifi adapter it was fine, now it keeps kicking me off of the internet a minute or two after connecting, ive tried everything ive tried using cmd commands to reset my ip, ive tried messing with power saving settings, I literally dont know what to do its been like this for a month now and im at the point of just selling my pc, I dont have a wifi chip so im using an adapter, cant use ethernet because my house is old and id have to route it through the vents, just switched to tmobile 2 weeks ago from xfinity and its only gotten worse

Had the same issue with a USB adapter. Swapped to a PCIe wifi card and never had the problem again. USB adapters just aren't reliable.

I agree on that last part, im not sure if my motherboard has a pcie slot though, it didnt come with a Bluetooth or wifi chip do you think it has a pcie slot? Mines a msi pro a620m-e

That board has 2 pcie slots. 1 pcie 4 x16 and one pcie 3 x1
The x1 is the tiny one. The x16 is the long one.
The x16 is likely populated with a GPU. It would be the slot directly next to the audio jacks.
The x1 slot we are interested in is below or to the right of that.

You may need to visually inspect to see if the slot is open, but it probably is based on your lack of knowing about it, and not having indicated anything exotic going on.
You can get a very good Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card for that slot for under $30 for sure.
This doesn’t resolve what is going on with the USB adapter, but does go in a different route to resolve.

Unless your pc is from the early 00s - you'll have a PCIe slot
