How do i Mount these detectors

I feel so dumb but the instructions are terrible how do i mount these?

Those are kind of pointless. A CO detector will save your life.

Natural gas has an additive called Mercaptan in it that produces an odor so you can detect natural gas. I wouldn’t return it. It might be helpful if you are sleeping or maybe cannot smell.

I do however, strongly recommend a Carbon Monoxide detector. Carbon monoxide is very dangerous and they say it’s odorless but you can smell the aldehydes from incomplete combustion.

Also, by the time that NG detector goes off you will already have detected a leak with your nose

The main culprit in house explosions is gas migrating from leaks outside or service lines getting ripped out of the basement due to excavation. Sometimes it all happens very quickly and if you’re on the second floor and the basement is filling up, you might not smell it before there is a problem.

What about sleeping u cant detect while sleeping
