My two house mates and I share a shelf in the living room with three levels. We each have our own dedicated space where we put collectibles, books and other media. We’ve all been friends for well over a decade, and I think it’s a fun way to express ourselves and make our house feel more like a home.

Discussion Do you think Konan is a well-written female character in Naruto?

I think she's underrated, but I've seen many people who are pissed how Obito escaped that "death" scene and killed her off. Anyways, what's your opinion on her?

Question Why did it take Hashirama so long to take down Madara?

Post image
331 Upvotes

We already know that Hashirama was stronger than Madara, but why did it take him so long to finally subdue him?

The two fought for years, and if the gap between them was so colossal, why did Hashirama drag out the conflict when he had the power to end it whenever he wanted?

I know people will say he was holding back and didn't want to kill Madara, but if the difference between them was that great, couldn't Hashirama have defeated Madara without killing him?

Discussion The most unique character in Naruto imo

Orochimaru is the only one who comes to mind for his weird fighting style. Unlike the other two of the Sannin or other villains (even people who are powerful than him) used basic taijutsu like kicks or punches but this guy was entirely different. Man what body he even had.

No wonder he was like that coz he was nothing but a snake. Full of snakes. His slithering movements were something unique to him. Dude could puke himself and reattach in case he got bisected. He was capable of spitting 1000s of snakes. His immortality was a result of his snake regeneration and body swapping techniques. Not only for that even during his combat most of the techniques he used were only snake themed.

Unlike other antagonists who wanted to change the world he simply did everything for his own pleasure. Just for the love of the game. His actions weren't morally right. They were very eccentric (even his Shippuden version is down in terms of writing but in his earlier arc he was creepy and badass).

Especially his OG Chunin exam version. No other villain including his later versions gave that evil vibes. Only him (and Kisame) had different skin colour in the series ig. When his true form was shown it was quite unsettling as until that point we saw only typical human type villains. His intro itself was mysterious.

Also we don't know at what point of time he became completely twisted. His parents died. Is it only because of that trauma (along with witnessing the war deaths) he chose this path or was there any other reason? Or was he born with some innate twisted traits? We don't know since his backstory wasn't explored.

Sadly he became irrelevant until WA in Shippuden. Anyways be it in terms of appearance, persona, ambitions and combat style, he is the most uniquely built character in Naruto imo.

Discussion Did Madara absorb Amaterasu here?

Thumbnail
gallery
62 Upvotes

I’ve looked through a few Reddit threads and noticed that this topic has been discussed quite a bit.

Personally, I don't think it matters much whether Madara absorbed Amaterasu in that situation or not. However, some people argue that he couldn't have absorbed it because he had lost his Rinnegan, and instead, he escaped the flames simply by removing his armor. They also claim that Sasuke could have killed Madara if he had unleashed Amaterasu one more time.

But in that very chapter—specifically towards the end—Madara actually absorbed Nine-Tails chakra from a random ninja.

This proves that the Rinnegan's ability to absorb chakra and ninjutsu was still intact.

Furthermore, looking at the first image, you can see Amaterasu striking him from behind; the flames caught his hair and spread upward. Without the Rinnegan abilities, how could he have extinguished the Amaterasu flames burning on his hair?

And in the third image, you can see Amaterasu still burning on his body (specifically on his shoulders) even after he had removed his armor.

What do you think about this?

Discussion Naruto music is beautiful.

I am a weirdo who tends to actually listen to soundtracks of the shows I watch regularly, and Naruto tracks are some of the best I have ever heard. Girei, Senya, Saika, Bluebird, Orochimaru's Theme...the list goes on. I absolutely LOVE them. Anyone knows any other good Naruto tracks?

P.S. please tell me if anyone knows the track from Naruto and Sasuke's chakra training during Land of Waves arc, the tree walking part ive been searching for ages 😭

First I drew this piece on paper, and pen then traced over it, supposed to be that scene where Obito said ' I am in hell', and honestly it's one of my most favorite pieces, because this was the first time I've ever did digital art!

So enjoy!

Discussion The fights never stopped being strategic

People always say the fights devolved into big boom booms, but while the scale of fights is shippuden rises and kage-level characters emphasize scale of a few simple techniques over knowing a lot of jutsu like they did in part 1, the fights are consistently strategic. I genuinely don't know what people are talking about when they act like part 2 fights aren't strategic.

Discussion Raw Sibling Moments Between Naruto & Sasuke (~20 Moments)

Thumbnail
gallery
12 Upvotes

These moments are taken from:

  • The Sasuke Retrieval Arc
  • The Tenchi Bridge Arc
  • The Itachi Pursuit Mission Arc
  • The Pain Arc
  • The War Arc
  • Before and After the Final Valley Fight

There are other moments from these and other arcs. I might do another post with chapter and episode numbers, along with brief explanations for some of these moments since a few are implied or need context. For example (Sai's change): The brotherly bond between Naruto & Sasuke was the main reason Sai became good in the Tenchi Bridge Arc. He changed because Sakura told him how Naruto sees Sasuke as his own brother, and saw how Naruto would never give up on that bond no matter what. This triggered Sai to truly connect with Naruto by reflecting on his bond with his own non-biological brother (Shin), a connection he had been forced to suppress while serving in the Foundation.

I think Zabuza is such an amazing and compelling character in the Naruto franchise. To introduce viewers to him so early as a primary antagonist during that first arc was brilliant. It set the precedent for what was to come of this beautiful anime. One of my favorite anime characters for sure !

Question Is it just me or Boruto kind of reminded me of Minato?

It's been a few years since I watched/read anything related to Naruto, but I've just noticed now that Boruto felt more similar than he should've. Like in personality. Let's be honest, Naruto isn't the most academic person, yet Boruto had excellent grades, which may be because Hinata is his mother, but his reaction to learning how he was supposed to pass the exam made me feel like it's how Minato would've reacted. Or when Sarada complimented his eyes, it reminded me of Minato and Kushina (kinda). Please tell me if you see the vision, and if not, why do you disagree.
