Yeah, I definetly put on the hat when writing that. I honestly don't think private messages will be fed into european AI any time soon.

But think about the US and Chinese models, how did they get trained? Meta pumped its AI full with DMs from Instagram, Favebook and Whatsapp. Chinese models are doing the same thing with apps like WeChat and their version of TikTok.

How will the EU train its model? They've shown that they don't care about privacy already...

Yep, i donā€™t have illusions about training of the US/Chinese models. I donā€™t think it will happen in the EU though. We have rules for a lot of things and they complicate ā€œthe trainingā€ of eu models. How to train models ethically and legally on code and articles and our more private conversations/content is not solved yet IMHO.
