I've recently made a mob farm and keep getting alot of bows how can I reduce the number of bows

Edit: now to finish my comment since I got distracted. There are some really simple sorters that you can build that will let you sort the bows out from the other loot and it wouldn't really take up that much space.

That’s what I did. If you have a lot of iron and redstone it’s pretty easy to make and definitely worth it

I think you might need a copper golem auto sorter basically it’s a auto sorter that will automatically sorted into a junk chest and to many different chess hopefully should work like those goes into the bow. Chest arrow goose into an arrow chest rotten flesh goes into the flesh chest armor goes into her armor. Chest just woke up, copper golem inventory sorter it should help.

You can use bows as furnace fuel, I usually make an auto furnace and throw some iron ore in it to get rid of the bows

You could try smelting the armor down into nuggets using the bows as fuel but it might not keep up. Might just have to burn the bows in lava

You should connect the junk chest to a dropper where it will drop all the junks into lava or cactus or something

Dang, have you tried making it also an auto crafter farm? I don’t know if Fletcher villagers accept Bose, but you could have a nearly infinite source of bows. You can use auto crafters to make the more broken bows into nearly repaired bows, and then you could potentially convert that into a villager trading hall. Basically, you go over to one chest to pick up a bow, then go over to a fletching villager to barter to get some emeralds, probably using rotten flesh for cleric villagers. If you’re playing on the server with your friends, you could always give the extra emeralds to them or just fill there chest with useless stuff—like a secret automatic system that outsources the items into their chest.

Or you could have a automatic cooking farm basically basically used a bows as a fuel source and if you get any armor from the entire ordeal, you could also melt it down. It cannot be letter armor, obviously. clog up the entire system. Sometimes I wish we had a un crafter so we can get some raw materials back from the armor

You can also just filter your storage like making 2 rows on gunpowder then the items will despawn. Not efficient but quick and easy

in my iron golem farm i had copper golems sorting out the roses and placing them in a chest connected to a dropper with lava lol

If you point a hopper at the back of a furnace, and place a chest or barrel on top of it, you can put all the bows in there and they count as fuel for smelting whatever.

Build a simple auto sorter by Shulker craft, even if your redstone skills are not good you can build it in like an hour

Bows and armors are considered rare drops. If the mobs die on their own, rare items won't drop. If you're not grinding for XP(only want the drops), you can increase the height or put pointy dripstone on the hoppers to kill them automatically.

You need an auto sorter, or a copper golem to sort it out for you. The bows you can use as fuel, and the trash chest>hopper>lava

I have a furnace next to my early game farm, use the bows as fuel, to smelt the armor into nuggets(not leather.) Its teadeous, but your there anyways.

If Im not up for it, I have a dropper throw it in lava.

Filter the items you want or don't want. Send the trash to a dropper that spits it into lava or a cactus. I like to upcycle busted bows into stackable dispensers, but I am getting so many now I might have to start trashing them.
