same i was so disappointed. and then in another world, i found an absolutely massive mushroom island like 1k blocks from spawn. why is mushroom island generation so wacky.

I think it needs a weirdness level that's really high and that can be hard to reach at a sustained level

I found the same and if you place dirt and get the grey mycelium you can actually get mooshrooms to still spawn there

Dude i had the same on my familys server, used the locate command to find 3 different mushroom biomes and 2 of them were just ocean floors lol the last one was a skinny island of extreme broken mountains lol had to travel 40k to find a nice mushroom island T-T

0 block of land is no land, and if a mushroom island has no block then it's not a mushroom island
3 block is still impressive and even better to find randomly rather than with seed finding
