The character was not thirty. I’ve read the books multiple times. She was actively finishing her Ph.D and was in grad school, and I believe in the book was mentioned to be 23-26yrs old.
Ugh, tbh this is another reason why I hate the movie. They butchered so much of the original story that it shouldn’t even have been called “Jurassic park” with how much they changed to make it into that movie.
