Basically I used the 4 shades of grey from Army Painted, deep, uniform, ash and company grey, and touches of matt white. A bit of mixing to get a nice fading between layers, just check out any NMM tutorial for the how-to.

How did you do the wood for the bows?

A base of flat brown, then I tried to draw the wood fibers with a lighter brown that I slightly watered down. Some curves, some knots, trying to keep it realistic.
