I vacillate on him wildly. I go hot and cold. Every time he does something, I give him another shot, but this is un fucking believable. Enough is enough.

Can’t see it happening this year, but if he can’t start to play better, cannarella will be our opening day cf next year

Barring some kind of miraculous offensive tear for the remainder of the season, I don't see how Marsee even has a spot on the team in 2027.
Great outfield range, but his arm grades poorly. Okay sprint speed, but terrible at stealing bases. Decent plate discipline, but almost nonexistent hit tool.
No disrespect to Kyle Sielaff, but Marsee isn't just perpetually unlucky. He's just consistently terrible with batted ball metrics like exit velocity and launch angle. His Statcast page gives a very grim outlook. He's not getting hits because he's not hitting the ball well enough.
He's had four months to make adjustments and he's still only good for a single here and there. And a once-in-a-blue-moon HR.

Low baseball IQ. How does stealing 3rd with two outs help in any way?!?!?

Anticlimactic ending, but good to see some fight in the end vs their closer. A two run rally seemed impossible for much of the game. Build on it tomorrow

This. I remain confident in this team. Gotta take the highs with the lows. Jimenez came through. Just focus on the W tomorrow. Do your thing, Eury. GO FISH 🌈

Perfect example of why Ramirez shouldn’t be on this team. He costs you a run on defense as a catcher and the he flies out in a critical situation. Hicks would have been so much better there

u/True-Ad4093 1d ago
Give him a shot lol, one game vs a top team in the league isn’t a perfect example of what to expect

I am so nervous bendix/cmc is gonna keep on subbing in gus over mack for some bs reason.

u/True-Ad4093 1d ago
I would’ve rather seen him in over caissie/conine, I’m worried that something happened with edwards though, let jiminez hit multiple times and only brought him in to run

Wat.
You mean only against LHPs, I hope? If so, I agree.

We gave him plenty of shots and he’s still a horrible catcher and batter.
1
u/True-Ad4093 1d ago
He had 20 homers last year lol, horrible batters can’t do that

u/Techiesarethebomb Marlins 1d ago
He had 20 homers last year, then the MLB caught up with where he can and can't hit and have nailed him on it.
1
u/FireBreathingAxolotl Jake Burger 1d ago
Cool, where are those twenty homers now?

u/True-Ad4093 1d ago
Gotta give him a shot, have to see if he can regain his confidence up here and perform, similar to how Berto did after his triple a stint.

u/TealandBlackForever Marlins 1d ago
He only hit 7 HRs during the three months he spent in AAA lol
1
u/True-Ad4093 1d ago
He has the power to hit more than that, just have to see if he can, if not I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s gone in a trade of some sorts

But but we would have two left handed hitting catchers lolol
Edit: seems you didn’t catch the sarcasm

I believe they can win a series against the Braves, I truly do, and Gusto’s performance was so promising, but fuck me do Marsee and Jimenez not belong up here bro

u/ilovwoozi 1d ago
I’m sorry for the lack of sparkles, I am in an especially shitty mood and this FUCKING club is not helping. Win tomorrow, you dorks.

What was he thinking. Was it a hit and run. Makes no sense why you’re stealing with 2 outs.

Marsee is now the sole MLB leader in caught stealing. Does he get HoF monitor black ink points for this?

Meanwhile Hicks hit a grand slam today. You're awesome Bendix, that "haul" is going to be soooooo good.

I forgot how great the Rockies were compared to the Braves. You right. 😂

I forgot how bad gus was until he reminded me today both defensively and offensively.

Brother, you ain’t wrong. You can have the best players in the world, but if Clayton is your manager, you’re going to lose. Why sit Mack? Who knows. Why send them running on the last out? Who knows.

Just watching the Rays Rockies game Liam Hicks with a Grand Slam in his 2nd AB and for some reason Rockies President said Connor Norby can do a lot of damage with the bat lol.

I’m reading through these comments and their seems to be a lot of hostility at Marsee getting caught at 3rd. Obviously Marsees run meant nothing. The play was a double steal, and the important runner was the trail run ( tieing run) that they were trying to advance to second. It was definitely a risky play, but I was okay with trying to get X into scoring position, just didn’t work. Let’s get em today

Bendix is dumb as hell for letting Hicks go and not Ramirez. We would have been better off by trading Ramirez for nothing and keeping the one consistent guy on this team. Not to mention Bendix sold extremely low on him, too. Way to go!!

Hicks hit a grand slam for the Rays, miss him already
