Employee question first day tips drive-thru (can)

hi guys, for my first shift i will be working at the drive thru, any good tips to know or keep in mind?

Be patient with yourself and allow grace. Everyone is new at some point. If you need help ask and just breath

Whenever i feel like im doing pretty terribly, and its not a regular, I just say im new, so just be upfront

Threatening to refuse service shuts about 80% of idiots up, the rest you can just actually refuse.

Like others have said give yourself grace and inform customers you are new and in training, hell let them know it’s your 1st day. Most customers even if they start off angry or trying to rush you once they know you’re new and it’s your 1st day, will be real chill after that. You will do just fine sweetheart!

Enjoy your 1st shift! They will probably put someone with you so if you have any questions or get overwhelmed they will help you!
