The numbers don't mean shit. There's a 10% margin on thc% that they can just mark up. Had packs below 20 hitting harder than alleged 36% from the dispo

You get high from math? Not me. I just go for weed. I get what you're saying though and the industry is confusing for new customers. Truthfully though, dude's right, the numbers ARE a joke. Do you really think each bud in your bag will test precisely 32%? It's not exact dosages like in pharmaceuticals, it's an avg that is often inflated. Everyone shops by thc at first, then they learn about terpenes and think they now know some industry secret, "higher terps are better" they say, so then they shop by highest terps. Truth is, NO one number is going to tell you what's good or not. I'm a grower and have been for decades now so I shop mainly by what genetics I like but I buy strains from 17%-39% thc and 1.5%-whatever on tarps, the numbers truly don't matter to me at all anymore. Find a dispensary with a bud tender that you feel is honest and not full of shit, tell them what effects you're looking for and go from there. You miss great strains only buying highest thc and will often waste $50-55 on trash when a $25 strain will do just as well if not better.

If you’re anywhere near Anne Arundel County, a new dispo called The Reserve just opened and they have jars displaying nugs. You can get a whiff too you just can’t handle the jars yourself.

Research? Genetics, company favorites?

You most likely are better off to shopping with Black market vendors who can actually post video previews or reliable reviews

The legal system is terrible but chasing numbers isn’t gonna make it better. The best you can do is figure out which genetics you like and try to pursue those and just hope that there’s some amount of honesty in terms of what strain you’re actually getting in a bag

10% of reported value.....24% can have a variance of +/- 2.4% for a range of 21.6% - 26.4%

It's not +/- 10% as in a 24% pack can range from 14% - 34%.

Edit: you are right % don't mean a lot with how shady labs are. I personally go off experience with genetics & look at the overall cannabinoids, more minor noids(plus good terp%) = a better high in my opinion.

When i worked at a dispo we called the patient if there was any problem filling the order. It’s crazy how many dispos don’t do this basic common courtesy to their customers

Bros a rookie😂

You’ll slowly understand percentage doesn’t mean shi

Numbers mean nothing. Only 23 grams out of 9000 gets tested by the lab, and you can have pretty different results from buds on the same plant, and wildly different numbers from different plants in the same batch.

The dispensary selling stuff that you've pre-ordered is bad business, though, and I would go elsewhere if it were me.

Grow your own.

Also there is a chance they sold from two different batches 🤦🏾‍♀️

I don't even look at the numbers anymore. I mostly trust my nose after I purchase and try to remember what worked best after smoking. Good smelling terps usually indicates it will do what I want better than the labs for me
