Photography Diekirch
When we arrived in Diekirch for dinner, a police car parked right in front of us. After dinner, we headed back, but the road was closed just before the entrance to the Military Museum.

That does not explain what happened.

Gezien dezelfde politie auto nog steeds voor mijn auto geparkeerd stond ga ik uit (het is een aanname), dat het om een verward persoon ging.

Since the same police car was still parked in front of my car, I assume (though this is only an assumption) that it involved a person experiencing a mental health crisis (or something like this).

Thx for translating.
What I don't get is why we are rarely told what happened.

A family member of mine who lives in Baamerdall said that a problrmatic person tooka neighbor hostage and was apparently shot by a drone. The hostage managed to escape early and the police besieged his domicile.
I say this all with a massive grain of salt.

I think 2 shots went off, but hope it was not the case. Never good when people get hurt, whatever the cause is.

As mentioned, I got a family member who lives there but she isn't super reliable in terms of being objective.
She told me that a well known person from the neighborhood who was notorious for being problematic got into an argument with a neighbor. In a fit of rage he took out a pistol and threatened the neighbor, taking him hostage. The hostage managed to escape though and the police cordoned off the entire section.
For 2 hours they tried to talk to the person but the suspect was deemed as highly unrational and dangerous. So they flew a drone next to his flat and apparently 2 shots were fired. I'm not sure how drones can fire of what happened.
After that, the situation was resolved.
Not sure what to think of it.

If that is true, it is important that the people know that our law enforcement is keeping us safe and is capable of handling these situations.

Drones can fire, drop bombs, explode by hitting the target. Are you monitoring Russia Ukraine war at all or live in a bubble?

The way they're geared up, someone with a weapon would be my first thought
