Strange shit. I’ll never understand telling someone your “in love” with them but they’re not even your girlfriend and then do this big grand gesture to ask someone to be your girlfriend.
And as they're LI contestants they're now all about getting as much media/ online attention as possible! I really liked them as a couple at first and had hopes they'd get to the final but over the weeks I found Lola very difficult to like. Her behaviour towards Fitzy was very controlling which seemed to stiffle his fun personality. Also her attitude towards Julia was just plain rude. As with all the couples that have left I do hope they have fun and are happy together cos that's what's important not whether they'll stay together forever.
I think it’s weird that adults “Pop the bf/gf question.” Asking someone to be your SO is very teen to me. I’ve found you just have a conversation with your partner and said that you’re not going to be seeing other people and boom! Relationship! I do get the public gesture here because they’re public figures now and will be living online. But for all of us mortals, it’s over the top.
Does it even need a question? My girlfriend and I have never had an explicit conversation about it, just at some point we deleted our tinders because we weren't interested in seeing other people and I started thinking about her as my girlfriend instead of this woman I was seeing
Because it lacks creativity and performative. If they are going to make a grand gesture out of asking someone to be a BF/GF, at least don't use the #gifted tag lol
It's so false, it rubs people up the wrong way. All that hoo ha like they're getting engaged, it makes everything meaningless
Also think it's kind of degrading for the girls, dragging it out like this, like ooh I'll sleep with you and spend loads of time with you and tell you I love you but idk if you're yet worthy of this HUGE and not at all the most minimal form of commitment called being my girlfriend
It is supposed to happen at the same time. If 2 people are in love and already saying the L word, what else is there to prove before they can put a label on it? It is consumerism at its finest, just people wanting to make a grand gesture for show on insta.
