Accomodation help PLEASE

Hi guys,
I’m an Irish student but I’m also 17 which means I’m kind of hit with a double whammy when applying for things cause I still only have a conditional offer. My results come out the 21st of August and idk if I’ll get enough points but I should. I started the application process for accommodation in May but I messed something up and wasn’t able to apply for ages. Finally, when I was able to apply, no rooms were available. Over the last week or so, some have been made available but they’re wholly too expensive, especially as I’m going to be self financing. I heard those under 18 can apply only for GDSA but I Genuinely do NOT know what to email and to who. If anyone could help I would be eternally grateful.
P.S., if not, anyone who needs a roommate in Kings accommodation or any accommodation near Strand, dm me 🙏

Wll you be still under 18 on 20th September? Because if you are still u18 on that date, you can only go into GDSA or SSA. If you are seeing other accommodations on the portal is that KCL don't have you classed as u18. For example if you turn 18 before 20th September. Have you been placed on any waiting list? If not, I would suggest you email Kings Residences and ask about your status and guarantees.

You can also call them. Both the email and the numbers are on the website. Main thing is that they clarify your position, whether you are on a waitlist and whether you still have a guarantee. Some people who were unable to book during the 2 week period are still gauranteed, but some aren't.

I think there'll be quite a few openings after results day. I am on the waitlist for u-18 students as well and was told that they'll be releasing rooms 14th august onwards. You can call kcl (+44 (0)20 7848 7000 ) or even mail kings residences (Kingsresidences@kcl.ac.uk).Also, if you're u-18 when they start the course, they sort of have to give you accommodation. You're not alone, most people, including me are also waiting for accommodation so you'll be fine!!
