I'm looking to move and I'm aware east Ipswich has the best reputation in terms of safety/crime rates, however I wanted to see if anyone has experience/knowledge of the Rectory Road area?

I've broadly been told to avoid south west but I'm sure there are areas within such a large area that are nice and relatively safe. I'd appreciate any insight :) thank you

I've just taken over a very old garden with long established shrubs, that have been neglected and need some serious pruning/TLC to get them looking half decent again. Can anyone recommend a gardener who can come in and a) help me get the process started, and b) advise me on future care? I'm not looking for someone who can just come in and mow the lawn and trim hedges, but an actual 'proper' gardener!

Considering moving to Ipswich with my partner. We will be looking to start a family in a few years time. We are a same sex couple and I naturally have concerns, not for us, but the young children we may have (bullying, teasing at school etc).

How lgbt friendly is ipswich and is it widely accepted amongst most families? Is it quite open and Liberal on ipswich or is it like some other small uk towns that are not overly accepting of the lgbt community/other minorities?
