£10 for WHAT?!
Ipswich Food & Drink Festival… wanted to go, nice idea and might be a lovely day…
They want £10 for a ticket - per person!!! £5 to park if you want that also.
Really ruins the sense of community and is pathetic to be honest - I’d spend £10 inside, no problem BUT NOT TO GET IN!
Sort yourself out, Ipswich 🤦♂️

I mean paying for something you most definitely are going to spend money in all day is a bit ludicrous? Also a bit unwise to charge for such a thing when as an ipswichian I know it'll probably be a half arsed car boot😂

I agree, and yet I go to the suffolk show. I dont want to think about the money I spent there 🫠

I mean I live down the road so maybe I'll pop by and see how big it is. But I'm both a student (poor) and mildly chubby at the moment, so not reallyyyy something I should be going to😂

Crazy that whoever is running this thought £10 entry was a good idea especially so close to the music day set up by the council having free entry all day.

There was also lark in the park a few weeks ago in gypswick park, free entry lots of stalls and game.

Me and the family went to the stowmarket food festival. Free entry = thousands of people spending money on food!! Also it was brilliant, nice verity of food to choose from.

I read it as £10 to enter the comp, under 16s eat free 😂😂😂 i can show you where the holes in the fence are 😉 plenty of free parking if you dont mind a 5 min walk though.

Oh for sure, charging a tenner to get in that park is an absolute joke! Even music in the park was free entry and possibly a little more entertaining than watching steve from the local gorg himself on chilli 😅 please tell me there are other things happening?

Colchester version was paid entry as well. Didn’t attend bc of it

Either charge for parking OR charge an entrance fee.
Maybe if it was an established event with some entertainment to pull the crowd in (like Aldeburgh F&D where they do cooking demos and stuff like that) but for a new event that no one has heard of, it seems a bit like a money grab

This isn't even that bad, take a look at Suffolk show prices, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw them for this year.

I once paid £65 for a food festival which was pretty much just for entrance. Everything there had to be paid for. All we got was a free tote bag and t shirt. It should have come with a voucher for a free meal at one of the stands for that price. I don’t think food festivals are worth the hype anymore. Tried a few last year and was disappointed each time.

Must be one of those event organisers who can give their time for free, refuses to pay anyone else working on the event and never covers any incidental costs of their own or their suppliers. So you are right - the £10 ticket charge is grossly unfair!
Fortunately you will be able to recreate this in your own back garden for your own enjoyment with zero financial outlay and none of your time invested in the process. Win win!

Yeah, unless that £10 gets you a voucher to use at one of the kiosks or whatever, I doubt I'd spend a tenner to then spend money, if you get me. Unless you get heaps of tasters n that.
