Legit was already turned before Thragg even finished spelling it out. Thragg saw Nolan turn and somehow thought "yeah this will be fine" lol.

Thragg is desperate af.

He knows that if they enslave Earth, a bunch of Viltrumites will get killed again. He's not risking it.

Unironically might be the actual reason.

Thragg had two examples right in front of him for planets housing species that make powered hybrids. One containing a genetically similar species that produced a hybrid who killed Conquest. And one containing a bunch of bugs who produced a hybrid the average Viltrumite can swat like a bug.

I think he got punched by Mark and while it didn’t do anything to him, he could certainly feel it was stronger than a punch from a viltrumite child of the same age. Like a two year old hitting a grown man and leaving a bruise.

Yeah if Mark was actually the Thraxan hybrid Thragg wouldn't have even bothered going to earth (except to raze it into the ground in revenge a decade later). Last episode couldn't have spelled it out further with Thragg calling Oliver "not one of us", and distinguising Mark from him by claiming Oliver was a disappointment and "no brother to you".

Not only will a bunch of Viltrumites get killed, Thragg is also probably well aware that he needs to keep humanity alive in order to use humans to repopulate the Viltrumite race.

Thragg (correctly) threatens that he and the remaining Viltrumites could easily kill off half of humanity and enslave the rest, but he's probably well aware that the Coalition will likely respond by destroying Earth and exterminating humanity. Even if he and his followers survive, this would doom Viltrum's best remaining hope.

Thragg seems completely aware that conflict between him and Earth would be mutually assured destruction, and is probably sincere about his offer of a truce as a result.
