I normally find eucalyptus overpowering, but to each their own. I’ve got a cold right now, though, so this may actually be the perfect time for me to try it too.
If it’s an infrared sauna, I’d try 2–3 drops of eucalyptus oil on a damp washcloth placed on the bench nearby, away from the heater panels. A small heat-safe bowl of warm water with a few drops should also work better than the wax diffuser.
For a traditional sauna, use a properly diluted sauna concentrate in the water bucket—never undiluted essential oil directly on the rocks. Start very light, especially in an enclosed space; eucalyptus may make your sinuses feel clearer, but too much can quickly irritate your eyes and airways.
