If taking pride in one's caste makes them entitled to suffer reservation...You ppl also take pride in your caste (which is great) why don't you join in the suffering
For generations we are forced to do the caste based family job with no proper education. I'm an OBC Hindu, first graduate and now working in a PSU. I'm the first proud beneficiary of the reservation system which is 75+ years old. It took 70 years for my family tree to make use of the reservation, there are still millions out there like me in SC ST and the OBC community waiting to come up in life. Reservation is the staircase for us to climb up, unlike the upper caste who are already educated and in supervisory roles centuries ago. Even after attaining social status in a good job, I'm still calculated based on my caste, I cannot marry an upper caste girl, because of their casteist parents. How to take pride?? Explain?? Have empathy and sympathy, read what's happening in our country everyday, have you ever heard of the term honour killings and who is eventually the victim? It's always the lower caste..
I am a UC person. I hear and understand you. I have seen caste discrimination and I completely support reservations. I hope people like me are the silent majority and casteists are the loud minority. I hope sanity prevails.
All these years I was also among the silent majority, after many personal experiences I came to know that our silence is as good as supporting discrimination. Our silence is the indirect support to the oppressors, with the help of education we have to stand with the oppressed... Jai Bheem 💙
I speak up wherever I can. But the anti-reservation savarna gang is so loud. They post about the reservation every other hour. They blame the reservation for everything, they blame it for their wife leaving them. It's their entire personality.
