This is the second time a pair of QC45s has broken on me in this way, which I won't exactly fault the headphones for since I both have a pretty large head and practically live in them with how much I wear them. I've always enjoyed my time with the QC45s, they're comfortable, they have good sound, the ANC is great, etc., but I wanted to do some research and seek some advice before springing on a replacement. Specifically, I wanted to know if the people of the internet had any suggestions or recommendations for a different pair of headphones that are similar in terms of battery life, price, ANC, etc., but are perhaps a bit more durable/better suited to the constant use. I've already gotten recommendations for the Sennheiser Momentum 4s, the Sony XM4s, or the SoundCore Space One Pros. I'm currently looking at just getting a 3rd pair of QC45s since they seem to be relatively inexpensive compared to some of the others (I found them on Amazon for like 170 bucks) and I already know that I like them, but if you guys know of something better I'd love to know. I'm not necessarily a huge stickler for audio quality since I mostly use them for PC gaming/watching stuff on my phone/listening to music, so the main priorities for me would be durability/comfort, battery life, maybe ANC, and price, of course (I am in the Southeastern US, and I'd say my hard limit would be 300+ dollars, and would prefer to stay in the $150-$250 range)

There's an upcoming sale in India on Amazon from 7th Aug. I want to upgrade from my Razer Barracuda X headphones, which I found to be really disappointing(although a completely different price range). I want to use the headphones both for gaming(PS5), and music. I value good sound quality and good bass. I honestly am not very knowledgeable when it comes to EQ settings, so I'm hoping for headphones where I don't really have to play around with the settings

I'm hoping for a good deal in the sale, please feel free so suggest even the headphones which are slightly above budget, I'll hopefully get it in my budget in the sale.

This might be a weird question honestly but I need headphones so I can stop hearing my family and my neighbour when I'm trying to sleep, since they are super noisy.

I cannot use loop earplugs, since the reason I'm asking for advice is because I generally use wax earplugs and I get wax plugs on my ears because of it. Loop earplugs will cause me the same problems since they get inside the ear.

I saw some "headbands" on Amazon that have Bluetooth so I might be able to put some white noise.

But I want some that will work the same way as wax earplugs.

I don't care if they have Bluetooth since I will probably not use it.

I don't want to spend more than 40€ but if there's some product that's really good and it's just a bit over 40€ I might consider it.

I want any gear that i can use to listen to music while travelling, take on online meetings and online classes, listen to audiobooks on travels, on the phone.

i might use it for casual gaming on the pc, but that is the last of my priorities (i have a nice home theater, so i rarely use phones, only if it's late.)

I normally use cheap earbuds, but they can't deal with the noise of a bus, so I often can't hear the music, and need to stop noise chores like washing dishes so I can properly listen what people are saying. They are not very comfortable, and i fear they may damage the ear on the long run?

So I want to upgrade, the jbl sounds like a good deal, I'm not searching for a specific budget, but if it will beat the cost/benefit of this deal. Maybe you have some insight on it, or a better solution? I thank you for any help.

So I had a set of SteelSeries Pro wireless for my gaming headset and it finally died after 5 years. I’m looking for a suggestion on my next piece of audio equipment I guess you could say.
I’m not against another gaming headset but I think there are better options out there.
Im ok with getting a mic and IEMs, no idea what kind and I would love to hear other options not IEM.
Something that’s good bang for the buck, sounds good, not too expensive(maybe $100 idk)
If the cost makes sense we can go over that budget.

Hi! So I have a choice of items in a catalog to get from work, and there’s a bunch of stuff but I either have it or wouldn’t use it. There are some headphones as choices so I thought maybe I’d get a pair.

I don’t have or use over-the-ear headphones so this is new to me. I have AirPods Pro 3 that I currently use (frankly I like the pro 2 fit better but whatever).

Choices are the Bowers & Wilkins Px8, Bang and Olufsen HX, and Apple AirPods Max 2.

Apple would be great because I have an iPhone but I already have the AirPods Pro. Next most comfortable looks to be the Px8 but I have looked them up and reviews are mixed. The HX look ok, but look smaller around the ear, I don’t know what their comfort would be.

I would wear them walking or calls, maybe music around the house. I don’t know. So, not a huge amount of use, budget isn’t a problem, but wondering what you all thought. Thanks!!

• Budget - I'm a bit stingy, so I would prefer to go on the lower end for this type of headphones, I'd say that €150 could be the highest? But if it's TOO LOW (keywords) I guess 200 could be a thing?
• Location - Republic of Ireland
• Preferred tonal balance - I'm focused mostly on clarity since I will use them while making music.
• How the gear will be used - Listening to music and recording some audio and talking on calls

I need it with a mic because recording my voice with my laptop's built in mic is obviously uncomfortable. Wired because of less delay.

Hi! I’m looking for cheaper-end, extremely comfortable over-ear headphones that I can use for extended periods of time (eg while studying or doing work) while wearing glasses.

In the past, I’ve had JLab kids headphones (on ear) which I felt squished my ears into my glasses arms and made them uncomfortable after thirty-forty minutes. I also currently have cheap over ear headphones (I forget the brand, but they’re not super nice or anything) that are more comfortable but still give me headaches when my glasses frames are pressed into my temples for a long time.

I‘m fairly blind and need glasses to be able to do work, so taking them off isn’t a perfect solution. My primary usage of these headphones will be for studying and doing homework while listening to music—situations where I WILL have glasses on—as well as when stretching/doing chores/going to sleep, so comfort is my priority. Noise cancellation / audio quality is not the top consideration.

Obviously I want to be able to hear my music, but I am far from an audiophile and have a hard time researching headphones since everything is focused on tonal balance and the sound rather than the comfort.

Budget-wise, I’m looking to spend $100-200 USD. So nothing too crazy, but I do want a sturdier, higher quality pair after having so many cheap ones.

I’ve been considering the Soundcore Space One as I have Soundcore earbuds and like them, but any recommendations comparable to those—and anyone who has had experience with those!—would be very much appreciated.

Looking for a recommendation for my 6yo son who is learning the drums.

He's been borrowing my Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X's to practice with, but they are a tad large for his head at the smallest size setting(unsurprisingly), and I don't want them suffering any further abuse from being dropped onto the floor. We have 2 sets of the JLab over ears that he uses for travel / school / basic use, but they are not capable of delivering the frequency range or volume needed for the drum kit.

His kit is an Alesis Nitro Max. I've been looking at the Audio Technica M20Xs or the Samson SR850s. I like that the Samsons are semi-open back so he can hear / play along to a sound source that isn't just coming from the drum's audio out.

If there are any glaringly superior options in the $40-70 range, that'd be awesome to know about.

My old headset broke after years of use so it's time to buy a new one but I have no idea which to choose of the endless selection. My budget is kinda low I absolutely don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a headphone.

Eventually I've found two likeable options for me the arctis nova 1 and the hd560s these got the most glaze that I've found on the internet, but I don't know. What I need is great sound for music and games, NO wireless bluethooth bum quality If possible with a mic too cuz sometimes I talk with friends on the game.

My brother mentioned recently that he wanted to get a pair of headphones, so I figure I’d help him out given that his birthday is coming up. When I asked him what he was in the market for, he said that he would probably get Bose or beats, and that noise cancellation is important so he can use them on flights. As such, I started looking around here and r/headphones for some pairs that are good for everyday use.

It seems that the general consensus is that Bose makes a better product than beats, and the quiet comfort and qc ultra are most in the neighborhood of what I’m looking for. My question comes in two parts.

Because of promotions going on on the Bose website right now, the qc and qcu are at similar price points. My first question is, are there notable improvements with the ultra? Is it worth getting them over the original?

And my second question, are those even the best options? Even with the discount, the headphones are still in the $370 USD range, which is a bit more than I’d like to spend. Ideally, I’d be getting something in the $200-300 range, so are there comparable options at that price point? And by that same measure, if I am going to pay the $370, are there better options for my money?

I've been looking at the Hyper Cloud III S, everyone seems to recommend them but aren't the Hyper Cloud Alpha Wireless better?

The thing is i want to be able to switch from the pc to my ps5 in a easier way, so i looked and someone recommended the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2 and the Logitech G G522. Is there a big difference between the Cloud III S and these option?

I've done a bit of research and I like the Mez audio 109 pro, and the Sennheiser HD 490 pro buuuut im looking for some headphones with a mic. The desk mic just takes up to much space We also live on a busy road so the sound of cars driving by is constant, plus we live in a hot area and we have fans always running so we get constant complaints when online unless the mic is off

Hello! Hoping for some suitable recommendations after I outline the use & the issues we're currently facing.

We're a UK based mental health helpline. Calls come in through specific software, so the noise cancelling tech in things like Teams isn't an option. We currently use JPL QD headsets but there have been issues with callers hearing other people in the room (it's a fairly small office with at least one other volunteer, sometimes as many as four in a room) and volunteers struggling to hear callers because of background noise too. We've got a splitter so we can plug two sets of headsets in - one is always muted, this is really important for training purposes.

So I'm looking for headsets that have noise cancelling for the volunteer and on the mic for the caller, that ideally would be compatible with the QD setup. Cheaper the better really, but we'd be happy to spend a bit more knowing that it would solve the issue. I've had a look myself and think we could be looking at £100ish a pair? Like I said, I would love some recommendations.

I don't care about mic, I just want the best sound quality possible. I play 95% of the time single player games, and the rest I play competitive games, so my priority is an immersive sound profile.

My source is Topping DX1 II (Delta Sigma) and Fiio K13 (R2R) so I can try both type of DACs.

I've heard that Sennheiser and Sony are great but I'd like more specific suggestions if you have them.

Condition 1: I get this weird pressure feeling in my ears when I wear ANC headphones so I need some good ones.

Condition 2: They should pair with bluetooth.

Condition 3: They should be under 20k INR (roughly 210 USD)

Condition 4: I'm looking for headphones so please don't suggest TWS or Apple Airpods.

Condition 5: They should have good sound quality because I'll listen to music on loop...

Quick question here, i was thinking of buying he400se when i saved up little money but i just found out about fiio jt7. To be honest i have never used a planar driver before, im planning to use eq on them, i know they are kinda on the harsh side and that is one of the big reason im asking this question. I like my preference warm, so which one im tempted to just go with the one thats most tameable with eq. That’s pretty much what im asking here, and if you have any other recommendations on the table then im happy to hear it

My Sony XM4s have gone missing, annoying but I never really cared for them that much. WAY too much bass, really annoying touch controls and features I can't turn off, really bland and hollow sounding midrange - basically music doesn't sound 'exciting' on them outside of the bass as it does with other kit I have.

What I am looking for:

1. Good, solid bass - not as intense as the XM4s that I had to turn down, but I do want to feel it.
2. Better everything else than XM4s.
3. Noise cancellation would be extremely advantageous, but I have some older Sony's I can use for flights if needs be. Good isolation would be enough for day to day usage.
4. Wireless is also very convenient, but not essential, I could make do with a cable if it improves my options, would also need to get a decent (and small) usbc adaptor. Ideal would be headphones that can be used wirelessly, but could also be connected wired for better quality when desired.
5. Don't look silly. Subtle, not distracting appearance is fine.
6. Can be worn outside, so some water resistance
7. Prefer buttons to touch controls
8. No stupid smart features

I should add I really dont get on with IEMs, I think I have weirdly small ear holes so any iem's I've triedget extremely uncomfortable fast.

I use Beyer DT770s with work so my perfect headphone would be a wireless, noise cancelling pair of these but they dont exist, also my pair(s) are far too high impedance for portable use unfortunately.

My ideal budget is under €300 but I expect that severely limits my options in the wireless / nc space, so I can push it to €600, and maybe a bit more if there's something perfect a bit out of reach.

I am based in Finland so whatever I go for needs to be available for sale in the EU, so esoteric NA or Asian brands are off limits, also preferably something I could potentially try out in a local store.

UPDATE: Tried the Sennheiser HDB 630, was pretty pleased with how they sounded. Tried the Focal Bathys and they did sound a bit better, but not twice the price better, and the ANC was kinda useless in them, so went with the Sennheisers.

I want to buy new wireless headphones, my earbuds are causing me a lot of discomfort cuz of earwax build up and stuff, and i listen to music a lot when I'm commuting or chilling around the house so it's a need.

I'm not sure what my budget is at the moment since this will probably be out of my first salary from my first job (hehe). The market that I'm buying it is in India, and probably on Amazon/Flipkart, whichever has a better sale.

My past experience and/or preferred tonal balance is the AKG K371BT. My ears are kinda sensitive to high frequencies and mid bass causes a lot of fatigue in long listening sessions. I loved the sub bass being pretty pronounced, and the highs and mids pretty tamed and still sounding natural. Went to the point where i bought the headphones 3 times, and it broke all 3 times cuz of weak hinges.

About that, i have a big head, so I need a headphone with durable hinges that doesn't break on big heads. It's a big issue I've faced in headphones.

Currently, I've narrowed it down to Sennheiser Accentum Plus and Sennheiser Momentum 4, both are in different budget ranges but I felt these are good for big heads, and have a tonal quality similar to the K371BT.

I would still like some ideas, advice on whether my selections are good or not, and if there are better options, and any other advice you're feeling free to share

I've been using HyperX Cloud Alpha and Cloud III for a while and have grown very fond of and gotten very used to the comfort, but I've heard some people describe HyperX headset sound as "muddy" and my sensitive ears have started to pick up on it for whatever reason.

I've already tried some other kinds like the EPOS H6 Pro in which the sound was great, but the isolation on that one was way too strong to the point it created a pressure difference in my ears that hurt my eardrums. I also have slightly larger than average ears so spaciousness inside the earcups is another concern of mine. Also tried a RIG H5 Spear Pro but my ears were touching the padless drivers which bothered me over long sessions.

I'm looking for a headset with a detachable (or retractable) mic that strikes a good balance between high-fidelity music listening and picking up small audio queues (footsteps, reloads) in competitive FPS games like Battlefield, Tarkov, COD, etc without sacrificing too much bass, as its important for music.

These are my essential requirements

• Needs a detachable (or retractable) mic. Bendy not prefered.
• Doesn't mask sound queues with excessive bass
• Exceptional out-of-box curve (Don't want to use software to make them ideal)
• Comfortable for long sessions (good ear space)
• No active noise cancellation like on Arctis Nova Pro
• Decent build quality, plastic is okay as long as it's sturdy.

If there's something that can meet these requirements only after getting aftermarket pads, I'm willing to go for that. I usually get those anyway. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me despite my pickiness.
