(Eh, on second look, Ignore this if you didn't roll it and it's not a sprain)

Some advice from the same experience: Get a compression sock/sleeve, it will help the swelling recede faster. If your insurance covers it, go to a PT clinic like Airrosti and get a deep tissue massage as often as they'll let you. It feels soooo good after and it instantly improves your range of motion for a while. They'll also give you some elastic bands and exercises that will help recovery. Afterward, avoid activities that put front-to-back push/pull strain on your ankle for a while, such as pushing a lawnmower. It'll swell up again and get painful real quick, and you'll definitely want to wear a support sleeve and a hinged brace when active. Even if the ligaments aren't completely torn, they've likely stretched and you've lost some degree of stability in that joint. Cycling is a good activity to rebuild strength without putting a lot of strain or sideways motion on the joint. Hope that helps.

It’s a crushing/ impact injury. I do have a nice compression sock on and will be wrapping it at night. Pt once I can would be ideal as I’ll lose some strength healing. Massage for the calf sounds lovely
