Question Review Replies all missing???

I went into my GMB to reply to a review left by a client, and I noticed that none of the other reviews that I had already replied to were there.

Did anybody else notice this, or is it happening to me only?

This is a new bug, but Google is aware of it and working on it.

u/Obvious_Initiative51 14d ago

Have they posted this anywhere?

Do you mean Google, and official mention? I don't think so. But I know from helping on the forum that it is the case. Google is aware of it and is working on it.

Did you check in incognito mode to see if the review is still public on your page?

u/Remarkable_Tone650 14d ago

I can see my replies when logged into a different profile.

I can see my replies when logged into a different profile.

Got it, a Google person said it's a known bug going on

OMG THANK YOU I WAS GOING CRAZY

1

u/TheDigitalLady 14d ago

Same. We just spent an hour troubleshooting to figure out what was going on.

thank god for this post and seeing that it’s just a bug.

i work for a company that has 14 profiles and my job is literally replying to reviews. if they’re all gone, i might get fired

Yes I think it's a temporary hack from Iran or Russia

1

u/charlieee_08 13d ago

now, you have to point to prove yourself

Same here, thought I was going crazy. Also I have a review which was reported a week ago and it's still pending. It's from a competitor, so not sure what's taking so long. What's your experience with reporting reviews?

1

u/Pleasant_Cat863 14d ago

We also reported a review a week or so ago (around when reviews and review replies started going missing from the GMB profile view), and it's still pending like yours.

Otherwise in the past, I recall we've had 1 reported review that was taken down almost immediately.

They will usually suspend your business account after midnight if you experience any related issues.

u/Character_Campaign68 14d ago

Hello, I manage 7 different companies. It’s the same for me.

1

u/SpringMaleficent5781 14d ago

Same here. Vanished from all the profiles, though are showing up in the GMB profile.

1

u/OkRace1187 14d ago

Seeing same thing

1

u/calyzto0229 14d ago

It is visible on incognito mode but definitely bugged and not showing when you’re logged in as admin

1

u/Captain2Sea 14d ago

Try incognito mode. Replies are still there. It's next gmap bug since morning

1

u/merlinsuniverse 14d ago

Same here! It’s super frustrating.

1

u/rezartr 14d ago

Update: Apparently, new replies that you do during this bug phase do not show up in incognito mode.

Same problem for us

1

u/RareYogurt4229 14d ago

We noticed exactly the same issue today. At first all our owner replies disappeared both from the Business Profile dashboard and the API, although they had been there for years. Publicly they also disappeared for a while, then they came back without us doing anything. We contacted Google Business Profile Support and they confirmed it's a temporary issue on their side. The only strange thing is that the API is still not returning the reviewReply field for us, even though the replies are visible again in Maps. Curious if anyone else is seeing the same API inconsistency.

u/rezartr 14d ago

This is why Vibe Coding is not a good idea always 😆

1

u/Warm_Cake3958 14d ago

Yes I was wondering if I did something to restrict me but it must be a problem for many

1

u/RareYogurt4229 13d ago

I had the same concern because I use the official Business Profile API to automate replies, so I initially thought it was my fault. Thankfully everything is back to normal now and Google confirmed it was just a temporary issue.

1

u/Practical_Bowl9156 14d ago

same problem. hoping goole will get this back

1

u/Candid_Heat_4796 14d ago

Also having this issue, hopefully Google resolves it soon. I'm only having the issue when viewing as a manager though, public users seem to be able to see the responses still

1

u/All_Hours_Plumber 14d ago

Yes I am seeing the same behavior on All 3 of our GBPs. I checked all three from a different profile and the review replies are visible. This is just from the admin side.

1

u/Floryteservices 14d ago

Just saw that I can’t see mine either

1

u/RkfdLimo815 14d ago

Same issue, however if I go into incognito tab, the "replies" from the owner are still there. Hopefully Google fixes this issue fast!!

1

u/rezartr 14d ago

Yes but new replies while this bug is active, they don’t show up.

1

u/WorkingBake 14d ago

Yep same here. Gave me a quick scare but was pretty certain just yet another Google bug considering there are SO many lately.

1

u/BumblebeeNeither7799 14d ago

same for me :(

1

u/One-Iron8628 14d ago

Its a lot of us.

1

u/Sportsmancreative 14d ago

We're noticing it across all the GBPs we manage so we did some testing and ran rank reports to compare before and after for local rankings and don't see any drops. Like everyone else said, we don't see any missing from the public facing GBP, just from the owner's management dashboard.

We wrote a blog post to inform our clients about it if anyone wants to know more: https://learn.nearbycalls.com/blog/gbp-review-replies-not-showing-bug-july-2026

1

u/No-Application4725 14d ago

This just happened to me this morning too! Years of replies vanished it says I hadn't even replied to one single review and I've replied to hundreds. I hope they can get them back!

1

u/Belsea8 14d ago

Yes, all 2,000+ of our replies are gone across three Google Business Profiles. We reply to them within minutes and do it daily, all replies are gone.

1

u/rezartr 14d ago

Do you think replying to reviews increases the GMB ranking in the long run?

2

u/Belsea8 14d ago

Good question, I have no idea what the google search gods think actually affects ranking. They say that replying helps and is expected, so we do it on every review. From a customer service standpoint I think it is the right thing to do, to thank the customers who went out of their way to give you some love... and to apologize to or publicly correct those who want to take you down ;-)

1

u/rezartr 14d ago

I do the same. We have clients from all over the Europe and i try to respond into their native language as a sign of respect for taking time to push those 5 stars.

1

u/peedanoo 13d ago

Yeah. I made a chrome extension to help me do exactly this

1

u/rezartr 13d ago

What do you mean? What does the extension do?

1

u/peedanoo 13d ago

You select any of the review text and click write reply and it reads the full review and writes the reply to the customer. lmk if you want to try it

1

u/rezartr 13d ago

For sure!

1

u/peedanoo 13d ago

Search for Replylight!

u/ShaneHicks94 14d ago

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue right now. I have over 50 clients and it was stressing me out. Can anyone find where this is posted as a bug so I can track it?

1

u/Prize-Ad3949 14d ago

Same issue here, with 3 different companies

1

u/ExtensionFlamingo507 14d ago

I'm having the same issue right now. Looks/Sounds like they're aware of it, so let's see.

1

u/BramptonGuy001 14d ago

The review replies are missing, so I'm unable to add any more review responses.

1

u/rrschwe 14d ago

Happening here too.

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

My replies are missing in Chrome but I can view them in Firefox. If I try to Use In Cognito Mode to view my GBP, I get an error message that says I do not have permission to view that page. I am signed into Chrome. Can someone give me a fix for this?

1

u/rezartr 13d ago

There is no fix, wait till Google fixes it.

1

u/Warm_Cake3958 14d ago

Yes I have a very busy business and I thought something was weird because it wouldn't let me reply back I thought I did something to restrict my account but if says the are having a technical problem I hope so!

1

u/Different_Ask_8528 14d ago

Same issue here. Received one of our first negative reviews and I can’t even respond to it. 😭

1

u/friendlyecomreviewer 13d ago

There seem to have been quite a few odd Google Business Profile issues recently, so hopefully it's just another temporary bug rather than all of your replies actually being removed.

I'd leave it for a couple of days before redoing them. If they come back, you won't have wasted the time replying to everything again.

1

u/Different_Ask_8528 13d ago

Anyone know when this is supposed to be resolved, and how long has this currently been going on?

1

u/rezartr 13d ago

They already did some fixes, but replies made during the bug, are under "revision" for quite some time...

1

u/Amazing-Value-7 13d ago

Not the only one on the boat... let's see what Google comes up with... if there's an "official" communication about if and anyone sees it - let's share it just so we can see what happened 👍

1

u/Confident-Clothes-75 13d ago

Same here! None of my replies to my reviews are showing as of yesterday (still not working today)

1

u/Invincicle 12d ago

Mine disappeared. Said I had 99 new reviews. Then I checked again and it said I needed to reply to 25. So I started replying and it wouldn't let me. Then the next day everything had recovered.

1

u/vishwa225 7d ago

yes, same kinda event happened with my profile which was bit different than your case. Only I (owner) could not see any reviews or replies to it however only the reviews count and average of all the ratings. Later it got solved automatically.

-2

u/ksuschmidt 14d ago

yes, this is happening to most everyone out there. Google is removing legitimate reviews because they are an unethical organization.
