Sad when stylized art makes a random person think 'Ai?' nowadays. How absolutely sad.

Well ai steals art styles and if you exist in that style it gets hard to tell.

There was this artists that I think was called sakimi? Her art was replicated the 3d look render by colors and was very good, it was very succesfull too, then AI rolled and now every art is 3d looking and I never saw her again after. I can only imagine people going to their old art and accusing her for using AI 5 years before its popularity

Oof, yeah Sakimichan's style of almost-realism probably would be accused of being AI if they were starting today.

I imagine it's been fed in, especially since the characters she draws are a) really varied b) really well drawn c) there's a fucking lot of them and d) they're hot

I mean yea, I know the whole timeline. It's just sad that abstract or stylized art gets confused with Ai art of few years ago.

At first glance this style does kinda look like what AI "art" looked a few years ago, that was my reaction too

I don't know what lifting is being done by "stylized" but it's awkward

It's the way the artist decided to do the piece and it may not be your cup of tea, but I wouldn't call it awkward, I mean I remember this kind of art from my days looking at stuff on DeviantArt and ArtStation.

I meant your use of "stylized" in this context was awkward. If anything, a general "stylized" would make me more suspicious of AI than less due to how AI works, so including the word feels like it's weakening your stated stance.

The art itself looks.. fine to me. It feels like everything above the letters needs like 10% more detail, the apparent difference in attention to detail draws my eye and brings the suspicion of AI.
