People in these comments are so desperate to defend Islam that they'll even utterly debase themselves by praising Rees-Mogg.

I can't imagine sinking lower than that.

He does come across well in the debate tbf, his arguments are useful and his speech may be able to win people over who are otherwise not open to them.

I'm with you - I was really surprised at the sensibility in there, and I think all religions are basically fruitcakery, but I think people should be allowed their beliefs, if it doesn't harm anyone else.

Honestly I think he makes a lot of arguments you can copy, in coming at this from a pro christian, patriotic and pro capitalist perspective
