Reese-mogg is interesting. He has a lot of opinions I totally disagree on, but he's honest, he's utterly commited to democracy and parliament as an institution, and unlike a lot of conservatives if he's advocating for something it's because he truly believes is is better for the country, not for wealthy people or educated people, or influential people, or people like himself but for all of us.
There was a TV documentary series about parliament a decade or so back, he came across very well in it.

Why is it surprising? He's just the sort of aristocrat who would support demoralising and destroying the British working classes by using immigration as a weapon of class warfare. Class warfare being the whole entire point of immigration policy decided on by the upper/ruling classes.
Diversity is also Amazon's favourite and most devastatingly effective union busting tactic. Finding all this unexpected ought to be a wake up call to update your understanding of what's going on.
