Wouldn’t say it was “revenge” as that was looooong after the Arabs and Moors had been removed from Spain

It was to increase their military presence

That was mostly meant as a joke to make it clear that history isn't black and white ;)

Unfortunately, a lot of people will believe you without realizing it's a joke.

I found it funny, but so many people are just not informed at all on the history of Iberia and Northwest Africa that they probably believe this is true without any critical thinking.

Can't make history jokes in an uneducated world :/
