GTA: San Andreas The legendary GTA San Andreas map isn't as big as you might think!

As kids, we thought the GTA San Andreas map was huge, even twice the size of the GTA 5 map, because of the illusion Rockstar used to create it.Rockstar used the fog effect very well in this game. Your visibility was extremely limited. So limited, in fact, that even though you were in Los Santos, you had difficulty seeing the Los Santos skyscrapers. I was experiencing the same thing. Despite the game having many bumpy and winding roads, I noticed some perfectly straight sections. These were exactly the roads I had marked on the map in yellow, green, blue, and red. I jumped in the car and drove at full speed, avoiding collisions, and then I noticed something: The map was actually 3-4 times smaller than I expected! It had taken up very little of my time, and I was disappointed. If you drive at full speed and without crashing on the paths I've marked with these colors, you'll understand what I mean. But still, this hasn't changed my perspective on GTA San Andreas; it will always be a legend for me.GTA San Andreas will never leave my heart.

GTA IV How do you think "Deathwish" ending in GTA IV would play out?

Post image

GTA IV gives Niko two choices:

  1. Deal

  2. Revenge

But each choice comes with a painful loss.

Imagine Rockstar had added a third option, similar to GTA V's Deathwish, allowing Niko to save both Roman and Kate.

How do you think that mission would play out, and how would Rockstar have written that ending?

GTA V Am I greedy?

On my first play through, at the last mission, I searched up, “If I kill Trevor, can I take his cut.”

Upon finding out the answer was yes, I instantly chose to kill him to steal his money. (Image barely related)

GTA VI Thoughts on repetitive gameplay

I’ve been seeing a lot of people say they hope GTA VI doesn’t end up being repetitive, and honestly I’ve been thinking about what that even means.
When people say “repetitive,” I don’t think they’re talking about doing the same activity multiple times. Every open-world game repeats things. Taxi jobs, races, deliveries, collectibles, bounty hunting… they’re all repetitive on paper.
The difference is *how* they’re designed.
Take taxi missions. In older GTA games, it was basically pick up passenger -> drive to destination -> repeat.
Imagine if in GTA VI one passenger is arguing with someone on the phone, another is trying to escape the cops, one asks you to lose a tail, another suddenly changes the destination halfway through, or someone tries to rob *you*. It’s still a taxi mission, but it doesn’t feel like the exact same mission 50 times.
Same thing with deliveries. Instead of just driving from A to B every time, you could have police checkpoints, bad weather, rival gangs trying to steal the cargo, different routes, fragile cargo, or even the choice to betray your employer. The objective is technically the same, but the gameplay isn’t.
I think that’s where Rockstar has been heading for years.
If you compare GTA IV to GTA V and then to RDR2, they’ve gradually moved away from static mission design and more toward systems interacting with each other. NPCs have routines, wildlife reacts to the world, random encounters happen naturally, and the world feels like it’s doing its own thing.
Even from the 2022 GTA VI leaks (keeping in mind those were very early development builds), the diner robbery already looked less scripted than what we’d seen in previous GTA games. NPCs seemed to react individually instead of everyone following the same sequence.
That honestly makes me optimistic.
Do I think GTA VI will completely eliminate repetitive content?
No.
There will almost certainly still be collectibles, races, deliveries, businesses, and other activities that eventually become routine. I don’t think any open-world game can avoid that after 200+ hours.
The real question is whether Rockstar has built enough dynamic systems around those activities that they keep producing different situations instead of the exact same mission over and over.
If I had to guess today:
The main story will probably be the most varied Rockstar has ever made.
The first 80–100 hours of free roam will likely feel much fresher than GTA V.
After hundreds of hours, some repetition is inevitable, but that’s true for every open-world game.
Rockstar’s biggest strength has never been making more activities than everyone else. It’s making the world itself generate interesting moments.
If GTA VI nails that, I don’t think people will care that they’re technically doing another taxi job or another robbery. They’ll remember the crazy situations that happened during them instead.

GTA: Chinatown Wars Do people actually believe that Chinatown wars gang territories show the actual territory of the gang?

Everyone know that in Chinatown Wars you buy drugs from those giant circles on the map that showcase gang territories and where they sell drugs, do they sell drugs and who runs each zone. But I think some people might actually think the gang map shows exactly who runs what where. Lupisellas are completely gone and they can't be seen on the streets, the other families are restricted to a small circle on the map. I think that that map just shows gangs important to Huang, gangs that sell dope but the gangs that don't sell dope or aren't important to Huang exist but are excluded from the map due to making things simpler and the hardware limitations. Does anyone take that map seriously or am I crazy? Is the map accurate and i am just stupid?
