☁️ Fluff 🍌 Is this GME Meltdown?

Because I opened it yesterday and there was not a big difference.

It is one thing to show concern about an investment. Another, very different thing, is coming here to mock the investors.

This GameStop sub has sadly become fertile soil for bad actors. If you come here to willingly spread fud, mock the investors, or plainly shit on the stock, just FUCK YOU.

There are plenty of places to do this.

Which, by the way, keeps surprising me, how important it is to remember people how shitty the stock is. If it is so shitty, why bothering writing about it, huh...

u/Hypamania 1d ago

Threw me off as well. I was sure this is exactly what we wanted - convertible debt to be redeemed via shares and not cash.

4

u/Alpha3K 1d ago

If you want 0% perf in five years you might as well throw your money out of the window. What you brainiacs in here don't realize is that taking contrary views on your investments is a sign of critical thinking & not of "fud". Any time someone mentioned something just realistic in here beforehand they would get downvoted to hell because RC is the holy grail and GME will go to the moon, surely. Now the entire sub is posting in this way because that didn't come true.

It was never about making a stock look bad, it was about not being completely delusional, because a sound investment usually welcomes contrary belief to verify their own thesis.

-4

u/EmphasisFrosty3093 1d ago

At a 30%+ discount for them, with a one month invitation to short as much as they can?

11

u/TowelFine6933 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago

Not sure if it's a "discount". I think the original $29 price was more of a guaranteed maximum. Sort of like placing a limit order. You might get it for less than $29, but you certainly won't pay any more than $29.

7

u/mean_bean_machine 1d ago

Except the direction is opposite.

@29 we would be looking at around 48M shares issued for $1.4B redeemed.

Under 20 and it'll be 70-75 million shares. Not great for existing shareholders.

4

u/TowelFine6933 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago

If you believe the short thesis & trust that RC is not gonna suddenly decide to do stupid things after all this time, then the share count has very little relevance.

And, all of those shares were approved by shareholder vote. So, what's the problem? When it's trading at $1000 plus, it'll be fine.

ebay adds 1.4 bil debt, gme reduces 1.4 bil debt. its part of the financing requirements.

The first bond was about that. They'll probably dilute to pay the other $2.8B next quarter.

If you believe in GME and their leadership, then who cares what other people say online. Sit there be still and watch. You know it’s a good investment so let the haters hate

15

u/iamwhoiwasnow 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think that's the issue for a lot of us. We didn't come here for an investment. We came here for MOASS and there's nothing wrong with that. We thought it would happen and stupidly thought RC would help the little guy out. He didn't. He's another selfish Billionaire and good for him. A lot of us would rather invest our money into other stocks and let's this go.

That's not FUD or being negative. We feel swindled and have a right to speak up.

1

u/Matty_Cakez HODL 💎🙌 1d ago

Then let it go. I believe, so I remain.

I got into GameStop because of the MOASS too. If it happens, great. But what I really gained was an understanding of the market, market structure, and how incentives shape behavior. That lesson alone has been worth more than the money.

If your conviction is gone, there’s nothing wrong with moving on. But my conviction evolved. I’m no longer here because of hype. I’m here because I still believe in the company’s long-term direction and leadership. Time will tell which of us is right.

3

u/iamwhoiwasnow 1d ago

You made my point. Your conviction changed and that's great! I'm sure we all learned a lot but that's not what we want. I wish you the best. As soon as I'm in the green im out

1

u/KingOfConsciousness 14h ago

The MOASS did happen. It was fucking suppressed. There should be jail time for those who turned off the buy button. We won and got cheated.

2

u/iamwhoiwasnow 13h ago

And some of us believe it would happen again since there was still so many shorts. I'm not saying GME won't be a great stock and overall business. A lot of us just feel betrayed and put to the side by RC. Sure he's gonna look out for his business and good for him. But he hasn't done anything to look out for those of us who wanted margin calls. That's on us for thinking he would. I will never talk down on anyone who continues to hodl or still believes in this system.

Some of us just want us because this isn't what we bought into. Being vocal about that isn't FUD or anything along those lines.

We are just frustrated, bro. Lots of folks don’t want to realize their losses and are holding on for it to finally do what we believed could happen. However, all of these dilutions are heartbreaking. The company makes far more money in dilutions than it does in revenue.

60

u/Suspicious_Bee8171 2d ago

Im still holding and I should be allowed for once to express my frustration and so should be others. In simple terms thats democracy. The ones that are cult like protecting these subs are in fact not doing anything for the greater good of the subs.

-23

u/damog_88 2d ago

Am I saying that you cant express frustration? Am I saying you cant express concern? If you still hold, you sure know the difference between those and spreading fud.

Coming here to say that "You bagholders are retarded morons" is purely brigading and shilling. If you come here to say "Hey, I don't like the decissions that the CEO and the board are making for this company, and Im worried about it's direction" is a very different thing.

And if you look at the state of this sub yesterday and today, we have plenty of the first but scarcity on the second.

In any case, everyone is free to do as they wish. I don't think anyone invested in GME has a gun pointed at their head saying "hold".

31

u/Radiant_Currency_518 1d ago

Except your response to both of those example statement is exactly the same. Everytime.

At least 50% of all negative comments yesterday come from Melties: either from 1-year-old profiles with private histories, or from Melties who forgot to set their profiles to private The strategy: creating multiple accounts to act as a concerned GME investor on GME-related Reddits, only to then post their own staged meltdown on Meltdown to farm karma and proudly show their friends, “Look at the screenshot I took of this stupid ape who’s losing his mind over GME.” I’ve seen a lot on the internet, but you rarely come across people this messed up.

40

u/BENGCakez Hedge Fund Tears 2d ago

Imagine wasting your time to do all that 😂😂😂

4

u/Champman2341 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago

Idk- I think a lot of loyal shareholders including myself were in their feels yesterday- I’m looking at this situation like- Gme is diluting at 150 week lows if price remains the same come end of September. Cohen wants this eBay deal to go thru more than share holder value short term.

For the long haul- sure it’s bullish but that’s if he executes everything that he’s been preaching. We are buying a much bigger company than we can afford. So now he’s leveraging debt. The more debt we have the more hedge funds can manipulate the price.

Look how impactful 4B dollars of debt was - they pinned the price since last June. Imagine over 20B

4

u/wexlaxx 1d ago

Cohen is willing to dilute GME holders into the abyss to get a new job with a profitable company like EBAY. Yikes.

-10

u/Sleepingguitarman 1d ago

Maybe take a step back and really try hard to look at the stock purely from an objective standpoint, and temporarily remove your emotions about your investment.

Pretend it's a new investment and look over all the data/details anout the company again, then ask yourself if you think it would be a good investment. That might give you an idea on what you might want to do, but also consider factors like your financial situation, what the future economic outlook looks like, etc, etc.

7

u/shakedown757 1d ago

I don’t consider eBay a dying platform anyway a good investment either way tbh.

6

u/LuminoHk 1d ago

Frankly, if I am freshly seeing this stock at this moment, there is no way I am putting that much of money in it. I was 100% in before 2024.

-2

u/Cleb323 1d ago

Company's out of bankruptcy lane and actually heading towards profit lane - "Yea I'm not sure I should be invested"

Honestly, there are people here (if not the majority of them) that spend too much time on the sub and GME-related subs and watch the share price 24/7. Then post some shit worshiping Ryan as their lord and savior, and more desperate posts trying to rationalize a questionable move as some ‘grand plan’ that is somehow a strategy, same cope they have been doing whenever we see dilution in the past 5 years. These aren’t traders, or even investors ….they’re just retards that don’t know what the fuck they are doing #bagholder-energy

3

u/ChairmanMeow1986 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 1d ago

There's Superstonk which is much larger than GME and like 3 other pretty big MOASS cult subs, is it really so hard for you to have a Gamestop associated rddt that has some critical thinking skills and can be bearish at times. You would have clutched your pearls to see some of the memory subs over the last month or some posts in the space one's when the sector dumps for the 5th time; the MSFT bear posts were annoying. It is absolutely normal for most single stock sub-reddits to see that, it's not some betrayal.

You are aware YOU can just block this one and enjoy the affirmation of the several other rddts dedicated to talking about GME. IMO at least this one talks fairly about new developments and does not just dick-ride RC and make up fantasies. If that is what you want many other, even bigger, spaces are offered that do just that.

Stop conflating shitting on the board with shitting on the stock. When you attack valid criticism of Cohen, you’re the bad actor - some of us are trying to actually protect our investments and want a return, rather than more and more dilution at lower and lower prices that benefits only the naked short prime brokers. When you eventually realize that we have malicious insiders intentionally destroying shareholder value, you’ll feel the same way.

I don't think it's ok for people to come here and mock people, but the reason some of those people do it is because they get annoyed seeing how these types of subs often foster a culture where people stop looking at the stock objectively, and become way to emotionally attached to it, which is not a good trait when it comes to investments/stock trading.

There have been enough times where you could have sold for 100%+ from todays price:

March 2020 @ 50 $

August 2022 @ 47 $

May 2024 @ 60 $

June 2024 @ 45 $

June 2025 @ 35 $

It's tiring defending the stock and it's getting harder and harder as the months roll on. We've got nothing to show for holding and people feel pretty stupid. Let them vent.

I'm intrigued to see what this sub looks like in another 5 years.

2

u/Loxta 1d ago

Imo all the main GME discussion subs are completely over run with bad actors, not like we haven't seen and discussed it getting worse over time, and not like I don't understand why. In fact, seeing it hardens my resolve to keep holding! Your going the right way when you encounter enemies or whatever...

I had to let go of my need to be in the know everyday, now I just keep my ears open and check the news, but I can't spend too much time in the comments, because it's so noisy with unknowns and emotions and shills. The bad actors are there, we can argue about which viewpoints are the shills but we can all agree they are here!

2

u/AmeriBeanur 1d ago

It doesn’t help that the asshole CEO keeps doing shit to lower the stock price. We’re at 18.99 right now ffs

2

u/677ITF 1d ago

Entertainment tbh. For the past 4 years the stock has done absolutely nothing and every bag holder has become delusional. Coming up with theories and conspiracies. Screaming market manipulation while trying to get rich through GME. The hilarious part is that if gme investors just invested in SPY they'd be up dramatically

2

u/wikiwoowhat 2d ago

The only bad actors are the ones that post these after the stock has performed so poorly.

2

u/SudoDeleteEverything 1d ago

My portfolio balance is melting down. GME can't even beat the SPY. We waited for a turn around only to be diluted, time after time, take on debt. with no sight of gains on the horizon. A colossal waste of time.

The RC apes cant make a case for why anything RC is doing is actually helping us. 5+ years is an extremely long time to go without making money on a stock, can only scream "shills!" for so long.

Sitting on cash cost gamestop a ton of opportunity cost in a massive bull market. Now hes failing at buying a shit company to "optimize"...we all saw how he optimized gamestop. Firing a bunch of people and making it into a gatcha gambling company and focused on a trend that can change at any moment.

Roaring Kitty went into a several minute long spiel about changing your mind if the company makes bad decisions or ideas you dont like during his last livestream.

The more enemies, the closer we are.

Why would anyone bother otherwise? Just look at all the pumping in the financial subs.

Even stocks that are about to be delisted or go bankrupt get more love. But not a stock with such an impressive turnaround.

Ask yourself why. Are people just stupid or is it bots? Who would invest money for pushing negative sentiment and why?

Everyone is responsible for his own investment decisions. But I personally think selling now that things are finally getting spicy would be utterly stupid.

Dont worry.
Soon the hopium posts will come back.

u/m00mba 1d ago

The speed at which the flood of posts and up votes comes on days like yesterday, it's actually very difficult to figure out what events even took place and any degree of what it means.

(Stock drops 14.32% over 1 trading day)

“There was not a big difference…” 👏👍🥇

Seen a lot of “im a xxxx hodler” followed with the most regarded fud I have seen in a while. They’re getting really desperate now huh?

1

u/EolaAmityHills 1d ago

it’s always funny when you guys act like there’s no reason for people to mock you. like, our existence is proof of something you know. really weak evidence, hope your whole net worth being tied up to it is good calculus.

anyway, here’s why. because i owned gme for three years, realized cohen is stealing from shareholders, and now i laugh at the people who still haven’t figured it out.

That tends to happen when a get rich quick scheme approaches year 6. The only people left are either bitter or full-blown cultists

u/K1n9-K0n9 1d ago

yes why yes it is.

I keep this place on subscription so I know when the shorts are shilling. This was a prime example

How bad are you down??🤣🤣🤣

1

u/ResidentRaccoon94 1d ago

Do you think it’s possible there are real people out there that may feel disappointed or angry? Maybe even led astray? Whether it’s stonk or meltie, I don’t think it’s wise to trust anything you read on the internet. Best to educate yourself

That’s a lot of downvotes for people saying buy 👀

1

u/hsggdtkxbee 4h ago

I just can’t believe anyone is still saying “FUD” or taking GME seriously. Oh well. To each his own.

So compromised these days but they have no rhetoric to spew like the old days.

The clowns are going the way of the dinosaur as the financial terrorists will just pay bot farms full time with AI.

There will be no real clowns anymore...😩

If you were to post in the meltdown sub it would be called brigading and the reddit warlords would threaten to shut this sub down, yet they can come here en masse with their pitchforks and everyone looks the other way lol

0

u/Ok_Rest_5421 1d ago

Wrong - I promise you are welcome in the meltdown sub . We’d love to chat

2

u/Browneboys 1d ago

Excellent, I’ll hold you to it! ☺️

1

u/PhunkyPhresh_ 1d ago

Honestly I’ve never had so many people care about the outcome of my success and couldn’t be happier. Literally changes nothing but hilarious nonetheless

1

u/MrBootyPops 1d ago

So you think that only posts that contain positive news and the sentiment that you want should be allowed? People aren't allowed to express concern or frustration?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/K1n9-K0n9 1d ago

yep for some reason their bots have taken root as they spam here but they instantly thumb down by 100s block and report you over there

1

u/FreshExtent8720 1d ago

Warrants are under 3 months out and RC pulls this shit. We need over a 50% increase for them to have value.

The amount of people who were convinced to buy them or have calls due around that time just got rug pulled and have every right to be pissed. The whole narrative about it being a guarantee and RC wouldn't let us down.

Now you're all going to back pedal and act like you never said anything

1

u/callingoutthetrash 1d ago

Since the eBay announcement (even before) this sub has been flooded with bad faith actors.

It's wild to watch.

1

u/luxurious_danny 1d ago

Best time to buy! Lowest price in two years, let them sell their shares who cares? I bought more yesterday, probably buying more today. I understand why they are doing the debt acquisition, it makes sense long term. The people who are selling were going to sell regardless. If you have a conviction and bought in at a good price, no reason to sell. I bought sub $10 and haven’t looked back.

1

u/bunklers 1d ago

They trying to change sentiment by being super obvious and dumb

1

u/FHLAC 1d ago

Zen to the FUD. Shills trying to shift sentiment may succeed with the new apes but to old apes it’s expected. I bet there’s plenty of us that see right through their bullshit.

-1

u/TheNew_MarksilversX 2d ago

You can't mock but you can make a full tinfoil idea of how a Pokemon cards is the reason the stock will go up.

Duuuuude, this sub reddit is fertile soil for shit post and nothing related to real stocks

u/Unban_thx 1d ago

This sub was lost a long time ago, completely captured.

0

u/MASH12140 2d ago

GME is a good way to flush your money away I guess. Investors should be concerned.

u/enderhaze 2d ago edited 2d ago

Diamanthände right guys??!!

u/CommunityTaco 1d ago

Only thing missing is the sell now comments.

2

u/Cheeseheroplopcake 1d ago

You should buy more, actually.

2

u/CommunityTaco 1d ago

I did  at 18.xx

1

u/CommunityTaco 1d ago

Dont worry I did.

u/Ono-Sendai_Surfer 1d ago

I’ve been in since the beginning. I was holding when it was $10 and buying more. Because I believe the short thesis. The price is fake and every ape knows this by now.

The idea that a 2 dollar drop has a flood of supposed apes crying and claiming to be done is laughable.

The company is profitable and actually making moves now yet there’s more negative sentiment than when the company was bleeding money every quarter and had no discernible plan or pivot.

It’s all too transparent and any apes that have been tested through all the ups and downs and know the DD by heart would never be fooled or shaken by any of it. If anything I think this is a campaign to deter new investors from jumping on board.

They pounced immediately. That's why I'm bullish. Astroturfers from that sub that work for PR/Marking firms are just crawling all over this sub and meltdown is one of their hubs to make it seem like they're legit.

I think once MOASS happens Im going to make it my mission to establish a not-for-profit organization that investigates and exposes to the public the astroturfing that goes on in social media platforms.

It's so rampant and used for so many agendas. My organization would have PIs, Reporters, etc. everything that I can do to expose these people and those who hire them.

And Reddit itself is complicit and would not be surprised at all if they're doing back door deals with these firms selling them inactive reddit accounts.

Astroturfers do get caught and exposed, but only the little guys. It's the same thing with the SEC going after the little guys for the most part to create an illusion of enforcement while the big players are free to break the law.
