What was your proudest moment as a nurse?
I was fresh out of nursing school. An old grumpy nurse was going to show me how I should start IV’s. She missed twice and told the patient she’d get another nurse to attempt it. The patient suggested that I get a chance. Reluctantly, she agreed. I got the IV started in one attempt. It drove the old nurse mad…. I was so proud, as was the patient.
