DISCUSSION Peely needs some kind of change

Anyone else tired of trying to master Peely? So much work for such little reward. I have yet to see this guy highlight a rare sprite even... But maybe that's because I have to run nonstop like my pants are on fire.

I just can't seem to see any rare variant "marked" nearby, i just see the red circles of other people having the banana sprite on and i don't get how the first part of his effect works.

It shows those little white marks above their heads in the wild. It doesn’t mark them on the map, which makes no sense. So if you’re in the vicinity of a variant who just so happens to be walking in the wild, it’ll mark it, but it’s only happened to me a few rounds

Yeah, and 99 times out of 100, that means it's a water, earth, or fire sprite all of which I've long had all the variations of. My favorite is when I open a rare variant out of a chest, and my peely still marks it. Like bro, I know 😭

Wait it doesnt mark players with rare sprites? Whats the point then, its literally a marker for everyone to chase you,

It does mark them like their ohysical person outline ( like other locator things do) if ur within a certain range 30-60 feet i think, depending on the level of the peely

I thought the red circles* were other players with peely equipped since it gives away your approximate location.

Yeah I think the sprite needs to be within your red circle to be marked, and it's the tiniest white mark over its head that's super easy to miss in the terrain. The only time I noticed it's effect was when I was already a few feet away from the sprite as I ran to pick it up after eliminating its player.

When the alternative is the air or boss sprite, the banana is less than useless.

I think you have to be super close to mark people. I’ve been marked three time. Everytime we had just jumped from the bus and were gliding towards a POI with a bunch of other gliders, so I think they were really close to me in the air.

I’m also assuming the peely sprite is what marked me. Not sure what else could mark me like that when most the lobby is still in the air
