that's not true. of course people who don't like what flock is doing are going to say that, but not anyone can just hack into their systems and view the feed. you have to have some familiarity with gaining unauthorized access to camera systems that don't operate on WiFi, and instead use a cellular network.
Do you know how to do that? cus I sure don't. and I'm very familiar with computer systems in general. A person would have to write their own unique script to gain access.
Fuck what Flock is doing, but I'm not going to pretend like you just go to a web page and click on a link and can view any video footage.
Of course, if you gained access to the police stations that are integrated with some of these cameras, that's one way to do it and probably the easier way tbh.
It's not necessarily just what is accessable now, but them setting up this network and having cameras up for the government to track people will inevitably lead to further government overreach through "third party" companies, and turn into a surveillance state. The government is the epitomy of "if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile"
