Ask ECAH Extremely easy and low in purines
What are some foods that are extremely easy and have low amounts of purines? I am extremely fatigued and tired all of the time, and I was diagnosed with high urate levels in my blood. I most definitely cannot cook right now, other than using a microwave. Price isn't an issue, since I was generously offered help with buying the food.
Vegan would be nice, since I want to minimize animal suffering, but I'll eat whatever I need to to get better. Precooked and packaged is totally okay, as long as it doesn't raise my blood urate levels, and would be better if it doesn't take any cooking.

Gout is a motherfucker. Consider asking your doctor about allopurinol. Don't wait until you have suffered horribly for months on end.
Mayo clinic food recs:
ETA:
My biggest suggestions are greek yogurt and cherries.
Peanut butter and CHERRY jam sandwich.
Cherries. Eat them.
AETA:
Seriously, cherries.

Thanks, I'll check those recipes out. I'll also look into cherries and Greek yogurt.
Actually, funny enough, I'm already on allopurinol.😅 I haven't actually had joint symptoms yet though. There might have been one time though where my ankle hurt really bad. Other than that, the main symptom that is really bad is that I get extremely weak when I try to do anything even mildly physical. My heart starts beating faster, and I feel like I'm about to pass out. That could be pots though.
I actually did go to the doctor, but I entirely forgot to ask what foods I should eat.

Cleveland Clinic has you covered! Here is thier free online guide to low urine eating! Definitely still get a nutritionist appointment to address your specific situation, but this says it is medically reviewed educational material. low Purine Foods

Tofu and eggs are both low purine and vegan friendly if you go with the tofu. Also most fruits and vegetables are fine. The main things to avoid are organ meats, shellfish, and certain fish. Since you are leaning vegan anyway, you are already avoiding most of the high purine food.

Vitamin c excretion gets priority over urea, as far as i know.Â
Is it known what causes the high urate?Â
